Actual interaction in combat with a great story, I'd say it still holds up strong today. Failing that, something more modern wouldn't be out of the question

In Fallout 2 theres a woman who talks about her dead cat and comments on how rare they are in the wasteland. Guess they just didn't survive with rats and other things getting bigger.
