Simon Cowell announces new TV show: "The game-factor". A series of novice game designers with no passion, talent or personality are paraded before a drooling gamer public to present one utterly generic game remake after another. One designer is voted out each week until the last one releases a final remake which inevitably takes the christmas number one slot

"Bioware, Activision/Blizzard, and Valve have simultaneously gone bankrupt..."
Wouldn't affect me in the slightest... I might even cheer a little.

OP: The world becomes aware of a frightening truth, after everyone has taken the red pill...
Mmmkay, then, what games DO you play, and are excited for?

A few thoughts on this:

- Daikatana 2 to be released next year.
- Duke Nukem Forever to be released exclusively on the Nintendo Wii.
- Sega to release new console system in 2012.
- Atari begins work on sequel to E.T.

I got others, but those were a few of the best.

Every single player game forced to have overpowered and overpriced cashshops and the game must be unplayable without it.

Every new game must have DLC that you need to beat the game.

every game must have multiplayer no matter what.

Oh for fuck's sake I get really repulsed at the extremely sad reactions of almost everyone on this biased site, sheesh no one reacted like this with the planned Halo movies and shit, yet with Half-Life everyone reacts, "OMG THEYRE GONNA TARNISH THE IMAGE OF OUR BELOVED HALF-LIFE WAHWAHWAH!". Seriously, all of you quit your fanboyish behaviors, Half-Life is not the god image of gaming so quit acting like if the movies are going to make any impact. You still have the games so there is really no problem.
I can see you took a lot of time and effort to come up with a witty argument for the sake of contributing immensely to this thread, and as such the only reply I can postulate is this.

NO U!

OT: "Valve to release "The Blue Box", which contains every Half-Life (including Episode 3:The Final Chapter), along with Portal 2 and 3, with a revamped version of Counter-Strike which includes every known modern firearm in existence (as well as some still in development).

Three months later, the worlds population is reduced by 1/3 due to mass starvation."

its more or less that they will make Gordon Freeman talk. which is against his character like link from Zelda. and everyone has the right to be a fan boy.
Johnny Depp would make a great Freeman though.
no that's terrible, Bryan Cranston would be a good Freeman

"GameStop takes over Game, GameStation, and every other major chain in the market."
Game already owns Gamestation so they only have to pull off one takeover there. Then again I'm sure they aren't THAT bad.

I assume Gamestation is not a store that is in the U.S., because all I see over here are GameStops.
