I personally don't think I look too bad. Neither does my girlfriend~ :D

In seriousness, I don't hit any of the cliche's of gamernerds. Sadly I have no picture

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and as such its subjective.

I've met some pretty hot gamer girls, and seen a few on this thread...and that one thats either a dude that looks like a girl or a girl with a dudes haircut...oh well, if its a girl i'd date her.

but still, we have an average spread when it comes to looks.

Off-topic, but where did you get that hat? I've looked everywhere but I can't find any that look like that. I need one. ._.

ok why does someone's hobbies effect how they look, I mean I personally think super skinny women make me want to throw up others disagree because "good looking" is a personal preference

The fact, as this thread demonstrates, is that most gamers these days look entirely normal, particularly as the hobby enters the mainstream. Sure, there are some of us who look truly repulsive and vile:

but we're the exception rather than the rule. Even I don't conform to the overweight part of the stereotype; my repulsiveness is largely to do with extreme and irreversible cranial asymmetry. Of course, most of the people here have called themselves somewhat attractive, and in that case, I'm definitely the exception rather than the rule, but then again, there is nobody who has posted a picture who seriously has as many problems regarding their appearance as me.
RAK, you look perfectly acceptable. Grow your hair out a bit, invest in a different pair of spectacles and lose the attitude, and you'll find somebody within the year.
Body dysmorphia is a *****. I know this because I suffer from it. But having zero self-confidence is a major turn-off. I was fully expecting some corpulent mass of IT consultant with a greasy ponytail, but you're a pretty decent looking guy. Again, overhaul your outlook, reboot, whatever, and women will take an interest. Join a dating site, that might make things easier.

LOL! Never would have thought I'd see a fellow APCG major on here. XD

OT: I'm pretty "meh" personally but I know quite a few good looking nerd/geeks (IMO anyway). I think once the stereotype MIGHT have had some credence but now nerd/geekdom is so widespread that you never know who would be one.

Nooooooooes. I'll probably get a lice infested one from Ebay. I'll continue to mooch through hats until I find one. Somewhere has gotta sell a good one.. eventually, or I can just stalk Urban Outfitters. Thanks!

Going over this thread has made me start to hate the idea of me going to Stafford university next year for my games design course. I want to be a Games Designer and the university is amazing but the uni has a 80% male ratio which is kinda going to kill my chances of meeting the right girl XD.

anyway OT:

I think i'll look alright once I lose the weight, as the gym is right next to the accommodation. going down the gym 3-4 times a week should help with that :p.

P.S I cut my hair get rid of those awful curls as they crop up when my hair gets to long lol.

This is me. I can occasionally consider myself to be good looking. I don't think I look too bad on this picture.

Ok so, this is me, don't know exactly how good or bad-looking I am. I don't think I'm on the beauty team, nor am I in with the hideous monsters that leave the sewers only when hungry.

This is a fairly accurate picture of me taken a few weeks ago with what is clearly a very high-quality camera. But in all seriousness, I have no idea if I am good looking or not. Also, I don't have any recent pictures of me.

(Okay, eventually it will happen anyway, so I'll just pat my ego for a second here. Hey, you asked, and I don't get to many chances doing that, so bear with me please.)

I've had a few waitresses (real lookers as well, go figure) spill a drink on me because they were too busy checking me out.

Mostly drink tea or hot chocolate, so I do remember these occasion all too well.

I don't think I'm good looking, but life guarding combined with football workouts makes me far from that stereotype

Go me for having a momentary lapse in memory and forgetting my username. Anywho...
I think there are plenty of people who are in the societal category of "attractive" while still being hardcore gamers. Just like any other societal group of life, gaming has its own stereotypes, and just like any other, it also has its exceptions. I for one am a bit of an oddity. I'm young, athletic, and happen to like going outside of my house, but at the same I'm a hardcore gamer. I'm a Gladiator ret paladin, player of games across all consoles, computer builder, book worm, and of course an anime watcher; Yes, I'm about as nerdy as it gets. Granted I don't have nearly the time for any of that as I use to, to which you can thank real life for (School, job, gf thing), but I'm still a committed practitioner of the nerd arts while looking somewhat good at the same time.
