in my opinion the best companion ever, is one that can just STFU and hide in a corner somewhere while you do your thing

or beast from kingdom hearts

But that is the way of the sith. It was a test to see if you were strong enough to follow Revan or become the new dark lord. Her stories and manipulative ways were also awesome.

are you saying you like being cruelly manipulated?
and do most of your tests involve old women throwing homing lightsabers at you?

I personally don't like being manipulated.And you have to destroy her to pass. If while destroying her she tries to make things harder you overcome those obstacles. I suggest spamming force crush. Its the easiest way to win.

Well, according to her character page she is neutral. Shes not evil, shes just a jerk.

uhhm the arbiter (no im not a huge halo fan i havent played it in forever) and charon and dogmeat from fallout 3 and the hispanic marine from halo 2 that guy was funny and it seemed to me he was the only good shot for the ai group i know hes not really a companion but fuck it he was good

Sulik from Fallout 2. He was beefy enough for the weaker characters to lean on in combat early on and awesome enough for any other character to bring along for the ride. Also giving him a Super Sledge and watching him whack and then chase someone off screen made any fight better.

Surprisingly, I never liked Sulik. After all this time, I remember next to nothing about Fallout 2 though... Just New Reno where I was a boxer, hooker, and porn star all simultaneously.

Fallout 1 has always been fresh in my mind though and I definitely thought the original Dogmeat was an awesome companion. A close runner up, Ian from Shady Sands.

Alyx Vance, one of the few side kicks that didn't piss me off, because she didn't need rescuing every five minutes.
Fawkes & Dogmeat on the otherhand... although they're very useful, they get in the way a hell of a lot when you're in tight spaces.

Dogmeat and Fawkes. Why? Because they end up becoming so powerful you can just walk across the wasteland watching as everything in site gets either mauled by a dog or gets turned to swiss cheese by a minigun.

The only way those two could get better is if they combine the two.

Hmm. On second thought, maybe not.

Dogmeat, and your dog in Fable 2... I guess I just like dogs, they don't have witty or unique dialogue, but they also don't bother you with your morality or anything like that, they just sit there silently and help you with everything.
