GTA: Vice city

No other soundtrack's vibe meshed up as well with the gaming as Vice city did, to me anyway. Listening to "Kids of America" while fleeing down the roads with an army of cop cars chasing you in the miami sun was and still is one of my favourite moments in gaming.

yeah, once i was driving and heard a song i had only listened in GTA, i automatically got in "killing rampage" mode and almost aimed for the side walk with my car, good think i snaped out before i did that hahaha

I loved Mass Effect's various themes, they really kept in feeling with the whole "believable sci-fi feel". Ocarina of time also had a truly amazing sound track.

I like the 40's music.

yeah, I liked that song from the teaser "I don't want to set the world on fire, I just want to start a flame in your heart"
it just captures everything in fallout 3 so well, awesomely done.

and is Guitar hero a option for best soundtrack, if so I would say everything from GH: Metallica.

Halo. Duh.

Halo's soundtrack is sheer epic greatness.

All this. Halo is the best soundtrack ever.

Oh, also, this has been done so many times before, but I'll overlook that since it gives me a chance to Halo-love.

I don't even like Halo but I can stand up and admit that the Halo 3 soundtrack is amazing.

The piano-led, Celtic sounding war music is real adrenalin pumping stuff, it makes me think of Slaine going into a war spasm and wrecking shit up.

Also the slow, aching string part on the title screen is beautiful.

I always found it kind of boring compared to gears of wars soundtrack

Man, that's a hard one. There's a lot of games with really great music, all the way up from Doom 2 to Assassin's Creed and HALO (fuck off, I like the music!).

I've always like Nobou Uematsu's work in the Final Fantasy Series (till he left after FFX), and Final Fantasy 6 especially. Jeremy Soule did an amazing job with Total Annihilation and Guild Wars... but probably my all-time favorite was Heroes of Might and Magic 2: The Succession Wars.


Oh, and one must also credit Blizzard with amazing soundtracks in all of thier games (excepting maybe Starcraft. I don't remember much music from that game...) from Diablo to World of Warcraft.

Burnout 3 takedown had a great soundtrack, it never seemed to get old and i didn't hate any of the songs, i think, it's been awile since i played it.
