Not the best, but it's pretty nice here in upstate South Carolina. Our public school system is apparently rather good, we have excellent water, there are plenty of mountains, and downtown where I live is quite nice. Then again, apparently my state has the second highest crime rate in the country among other problems, so maybe you should consider the other posts more.

You are correct sir or madam! Brooklyn is the best part of New York if you want to get specific.
You sir are never allowed near my girlfriend -_-.

Tampa, FL

We have more stripclubs per capita than anywhere else in the country.
We also have Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital, and All Children's so the medical care kicks.
We have USF which is actually a really nice and not overpriced school.
We have a pro football, baseball, and hockey team.
We have Busch Gardens.

But most importantly, we have the only Yuengling Brewery outside of Pottsville, PA.!!!!
Tampa definetly isn't the best place in the world, St. Pete is even worse. I live between the two. Although, our schools blow.
You are only 18 and you live in Pineapple Park, the second worst place in the metroplex after Larghetto.

=P

Wait until after you turn 21, then things get alot better!
You're right, because I'll be moving to Europe XD

where in europe are you going?
Most likely back to Poland.
unless you are trolling me, im going to warn you now, dont.... in fact put it this way, most of the polish working population have migrated to england since we joined the EU, so that pretty much sums up the country
I'm not trolling anyone, and I don't get your point.

sorry dude but poland fails, not saying england is any better at the moment with the recession and all but all your lot flooded over here as soon as we joined the EU
Poland...fails. Okay...
pretty much mate sorry
Right, I'll keep in mind it fails . I've been there every year, its not that bad.
then why are you all coming to england?
Let me totally sum that question up in 1 post.

Ok im an Englishman, but i've always wondered what its like to live in the USA (everythings alot bigger over there and not just a quick car journey away)

so i was wondering, where are the best places to live in the US and why? and if you like also.... where are the worst places to live?
I can kinda understand your situation. I was born and raised in Hawaii, and while technically a state, it is nothing like the mainland US. I moved to northern California near San Francisco 5 years ago when the Air Force decided to station me here. The people in the mainland are everything that I have heard about stereotypical rude, obnoxious, poor driving Americans. So I can say without a doubt, Hawaii is the best place in the US to live/visit.
If you require more proof here is a picture I took from a beach that's 10 mins from my house.

Go to Hawaii :)

I live in Illinois, it's nice if you like farmland/Chicago(I live mid-state). The downsides are that most things are illegal (due to Chicago). Colorado is nice too, if you like mountain scenery, snowboarding ect. Also the Florida Keys are a warm place to go with nice beaches/oceans. Miami was pretty neat, but I've never lived in Colorado or Florida so I don't know what the people are like.

All that aside, if you want country side, come to the mid-west, nice people with and okay climate and some fun things to do.

Definitely not where I live, Rochester, New York. It's 45 degrees, raining one day, 22 degrees and snowing the next. Then just to screw with you it goes to 50 degrees, sunny the day after and back to snowing the next, just to show what you're going to miss over the course of winter. And that's just the weather. There's little to do here besides go out to a random party (none are good really) just to get a hangover the next day. The crime rate is really high. There's a fire one week, then another on the next on the same street, wonder why. Almost everyone that lives around the north part has a criminal record. Only reason people come here from out of state or out of the country is for college, mostly Rochester Intitute of Technology and Univerisity of Rochester, both of which are surprising some of the best considering what I just mentioned.
Oh it's not that bad, I live in Rochester to and it's a pretty nice place to live depending on the location, i wouldn't reccomend living in the inner city buy the suburbs like Greece or Irondequoit (where i live) are really pretty nice and the crime is only bad in certain places. Completely agree on the whether though, at least it's not predictable!

Helen Georgia is pretty nice particularly during the holidays.

It's pretty much a small German villa in the north Georgia mountains. Just fill in the blanks.

As for bad, I live in the ATL and it's not exactly pleasant to be here.

For that matter, google it and you'll see what I mean.

New York is pretty awesome. Can be a terrible place to live though because of the INSANELY high cost-of-living. Rent under $1,000 a month (per person) is hard to find. Unless you're a fan of less reputable neighborhoods. Lots to see...and it will all cost you money. There are buses (some insanely cheap) connecting New York to other large East Coast cities (Boston, DC, Philly).

NEW ENGLAND! Especially Maine. Boston and the surounding area (concord, cambridge, etc) are amazing places to go (i always have a ton of fun) but I've never lived there. But really anywhere other than Conneticut (we dont count it as part of new england despite it technically being so) is pretty epic round here. Reason: Its pretty damn awesome. Source: I live here.

Well, according to stereotypes:
New Jersey is Hell with Guidos.
The Coastal areas are great.
Florida is just crazy.
Texas is cool in the metropolitan areas and then they go retarded in the rural areas.
California, Washington (state) and New York (state) are tuh greatest states evar.
Vermont and the Dakotas are survivalist land with militia compounds, farms, and beautiful land.
Alaska and Hawaii are awesome places to visit for quick trips, and tourist land.

No real data to back up, just adding some stereotypes for discussion and teh lulz.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to Memphis. Elvis isn't worth it.
A fellow Memphian?

That's what I would say; best place in the USA is pretty much anywhere that isn't Memphis.
