For WRPG it has to be every bioware game the story in every game is so great.
JRPG, Final Fantasy IX I don't care what you say, to me FFIX is and will always be my favorit JRPG and FF games ever.

Me too, although it was around my 55th play-through.
Mods are great.

I play the original xbox version. Its really annoying and buggy on a 360, but its bearable. Totally worth putting up with it.

Oh gawd that's a tough one...Um my favorite RPGs are Kingdom Hearts 2, Fallout 2, KOTOR, and Oblivion. But my all time favorite if I was forced to pick one would be KOTOR.

If I had to pick a number 2, Baldur's Gate would be there.
I'm still hoping for a new game in the series.

The story ended with Throne of Bhall, if there were to be a new Baldur's Gate it'd be a sequel in name only.

Sometimes it's best to just let a series rest methinks.

My favorite one (not sure if it's the best, but it's the one I've played most often) is Final Fantasy IX. It had humor, action, drama-all the stuff people praise some games for, but did them well (unlike that unfunny as hell Bowser's Inside Story, I still hate the people that told me it was hilarious), and really seems like a perfect mix of old and (at the time) new FF gameplay.

The one that takes the cake for me is Baten Kaitos. Great story. Great plot. Great battle mechanic (best i've ever seen in rpg's). And the best part, the artstyle. Everything is so colourfull, which I love since most games these days are gritty and muddy. Shame.

Also runner up is KOTOR II, bugs not withstanding, it improved everything I hated about the original.

I liked Carth. Mostly because I think the voice actor is awesome, but I didn't think he was annoying at all.

yeah, I can agree with that. Spent hours on it and was entertained. What else could you want? If it wasn't for the incredible smugness of that ballbag Balthier I'd say it would be one of my top favourites

Final Fantasy 7. When you play it again it seems a lot dated but when I first played it, I really got sucked into it. Absolute win, no doubt about it

Might sound strange, but FFXII. I played it a lot (and by a lot, I mean a lot) and enjoyed it a lot. The gameplay suited me perfectly, the activities kept me busy. Might not have been much of a FF, but I sure had fun.
