That is all.
Oh, and yes, as a future response.. "Go burn in your imaginary hell, plsthxbai."

ok, if u remember the old guy penguins they are sort of religious leaders. at one point they told mumbles to stop his pagenistic ways and then started reciting things from the bible (replacing god with great penguine)and pretty much acting like the church. so it shows that mumbles represents pagenism and the head penguins representing christianity. in the end mumbles "wins" which represents pagenism triumphing over christianity.Soushi said:i would very much like to hear the logic behind THAT!open trap said:well that was kinda wierd, its part of christianity but that was over egsagerating (dont point out i spelled it wrong, i know) there. this remindes me of how Happy Feet is anti-christian
I was playing devils advocate. I dont give a damn what you do with your free time.Soushi said:yes, but at least he is having fun and enjoying himself. An experience not commonly shared by the person to whom was referring. I does not matter what you are doing, as long as you enjoy it. You could be making 3,000 dollars an hour at a job you hate, and you would be wasting your time, as opposed to making 15 dollars an hour at something you love. If D adn D is what you love, no matter how much time you spend battleing imaginary monsters, it will never be a waste of time.JWAN said:^ That's ironic because your playing D&D though. You sir are a genius.hudsonzero said:i would love to know what part of the bible says you can't have a level 7 paladin
I would have kicked their ass. Then pointed out DND is about good defeating evil.Soushi said:Those of you who clicked on this hoping to see a crazy rant from me about how D and D is devil worship, then HA HA suckers. But please, do stick around.
I need new ears... partially because i tore mine out to get away from this conversation i was having. I was minding my own business with a few friends playing D and D, when the head of teh Christian club walks in, pushes the graph paper and figures off the table and says "I have just saved your souls." She then went on for about ten minutes about how playing D and D was devil worship. She said something about magic, and the deities and stuff, i don't remember, cause it was about that time i had an aneurysm and passed out.
Now, some rules, this is NOT to turn into a discussion about how ALL Christians are wacko's just the nutty ones. And also, i would like to hear some INTELLIGENT conversation about whether or not her point has any merit. Lets try to stay civil here people (i know she certainly didn't, not when she stomped on my mage figurine) What is your best or worst experience playing D and D too (this was my second worst)
I think I'm going to try that neat little tactic in my next argument. Thanks.Slycne said:You could try an argument of X degrees of separation on her. Dungeon and Dragons -> Lord of the Rings -> J.R.R Tolkien -> C.S. Lewis. C.S Lewis is highly regarded in the Christian community for both his literature and thoughts on Christian Theology. The two authors were actually very close friends and it was Tolkien who helped convert Lewis to Christianity. Both of their fictional works were heavily steeped in fantastical elements, all be it often times allegories for Christian beliefs though.Soushi said:Now, some rules, this is NOT to turn into a discussion about how ALL Christians are wacko's just the nutty ones. I guarantee that Lewis's 'Mere Christianity' has turned more people on to that religion then her methods ever will.
Totally agree with this.nicholaxxx said:you should walk into a christian club meeting, throw all their stuff on the floor and say that you just saved their souls.

just ignore them? she's lucky I wasn't there, I would have given her about a million reasons why she's wrong, and probably made her cry (I'm apparently very good at that...).
Good to know that you're criticizing pen-and-paper roleplaying as "Wasting your life" on a Gaming Forum.JWAN said:^ That's ironic because your playing D&D though.
