Grapefruit.
Forgot about that one. Love that stuff but you just cover yourself and the surrounding area in juice if you're not very careful.
why not just eat it like an orange? I'm sure that would cut the juice factor a bit.
Grapefruit are filled with great stuff that helps you process stored and ingested fats and proteins (incredibly low GI but actually quite filling). That sour taste to them is an active chemical compound called lycopene that is a powerful antioxidant.

EDIT: Mis-read that. The the above is a reason why to eat grapefruit instead of oranges, not why not to eat them like oranges. Too early in the morning.

Chilli's. The kind you can get in Kebab shops - they call them Turkish Viagra.

So good on the way in - so very bad on the way out.

Dungeness crabs and crayfish are easy, once you realize that you merely need to surrender your dignity and tear into them with all the gusto of a hungry otter.
You would do well in Australia.

Crab,Based on that the one time I did have it I needed a 20 minute lesson on how to use the tools to eat it.

Shrimp and ribs would top my list. I love a good plate of BBQ rips but bloody hell are they annoying to eat; mostly seen I have a slight obsession with keeping my hands clean at all times.

Pistachios. After breaking a few open my fingers start to hurt, and it's even worse when the shell's completely closed, making you resort to biting on it. If they weren't so delicious I wouldn't bother.

For me it's gotta be Chitlins (yes I'm black and they taste like chicken)
They take FOREVER to wash and they smell awful until you cook them but once you do they're hard to stop eating.

Another is any kind of chocolate with peanut butter. it makes me have to spend some time on my own. ~he he he~

Fajitas, so good, but they take long to put all the stuff on and then it all falls off when you try and eat them. If they weren't so damn hard to work with I'd get them every time.

I get addicted to pistachios to the point where I can't stop until I have to, because my insides hurt. I enjoy cracking them open though.. it's part of the experience, and the shells and dry skin of sorts is salty and nice.

As that's not any kind of pain in my ass, I would have to say tortilla. Naturally I've become a lot better, but it's still a pain to fold it and keep it the same way, and once in a while you succeed in squeezing the juice out of the meat, getting it all messy, yourself included.

Actually being British (and therefore not having had much practice) the humble burrito can be a pain to eat without dirtying yourself up something fierce.

Triple scoop ice cream. Take your eyes of the icecream for a second and a scoop is on the groun; if you can avoid this fate you will find ice cream dripping down your arm.
