And the conclusion is that the majority - not all - of fat white women, are extremely irritating.

If a kid walked up and bit me, and broke my skin causing me to bleed, then they would be lucky enough to leave without being smacked in the face, hard. I have never, ever seen anything like that. If the child was mentally ill, then I wouldn't smack him, I'd just be thoroughly pissed off and frustrated. If it was just a brat, then yea, they are getting a smack.

Definitely not cruel though. If anything, it will teach the kid not to go around biting people and drinking their blood, either for his/her own safety, or for the safety of the ones gnawed on. I don't know if the kid has any diseases, why would I want the scamp to bite me?

It would be different if this wasn't a public situation. If it was the child of friend or family, it would be a different matter. Having someone bite me and drawing blood in their mouth is way at the top of my list for, "Things to avoid in public".

this little kid bit the guy, drew blood and the mother yelled at him for yelling "shit!" so he said he was HIV positive. and then he left with his shopping and heard her crying.

OT: people who can't control their kids are really fucking terrible. i get annoyed when i get shit for 'kicking' some little prick who ran into my foot at fucking inhuman speeds only children can reach.

Feel guilty for what? There's only one person who got physically harmed and he's the one who ended up winning. The kid isn't going to have anything so any harm caused is temporary.

unless he finds out he actually has HIV... but then he's just as fucked.

Apparently it happens so much, that they've got a nickname for them: 'Biters'.

More on the topic of 'right or wrong', I think it's pretty grey. While I applaud having the woman take actual thought into the fact that her 'biter' child could get seriously ill, or hurt, from nibbling on others, I think to leave with it hanging there, and her being utterly terrified, wasn't right. She aleady got the point, the suffering was needless.

Plus if this was a country without health-care, then the tests could be costly.
That would also be needless.

Still made me chuckle a bit, though.
Even if I do think it's made-up.

I love kids, and think it's a tragedy that parents these days are too damn soft on them, so they turn into obnoxious brats. That said, this is an extreme, yet VERY EFFECTIVE, way of helping reverse this. Was it the ultimate in dick moves? Yes. Will the biter's Mom still let him bite people? I give it a five percent chance.

I work in a grocery store, and meet brats as often as I meet good kids. You'd be amazed what a good stinkeye can achieve.

If the woman actually didn't know that she shouldn't let her kid run around BITING people, she had to learn it from SOMEONE. And the best teachers are those who have the brains and the balls to be creative about it!

I never heard of it happening here in Sweden.

OT: While I think it was a little over the top, I do think that kid did deserve it for freaking biting someone.

Didn't do anything to the kid, but, got fired for what I said to the mom.
Back in the days when Blockbuster Video was actually a place people went, I worked there in high school. One horrid little snotling was running loose through the store with his arm out, knocking a row of videos off the shelf one after another. A grabbed his arm, and said, 'HEY!'. And, waddling over like a lumbering enraged hippo comes the bulk of his mother, who pulls him away, and yells, 'ARE YOU TELLING ME HOW TO RAISE MY CHILD?' (I had not said one word to her). My reply, that led to my termination was 'I wouldn't bother trying, you obviously can't manage it, so, I'm doing it for you.'
