Deus Ex and the PS1 Spyro Games. If you hate them then prepare to die in a storm of fanboy expletives.

Damn I will surely forget something, but let's try it:
- Deus Ex (if only a company had the guts to do something like that again, it would be epic)
- Baldur's Gate 2 (this is how a true RPG should feel like)
- Half Life / Half life 2 / Portal (holding up the bar of how games should be made, sadly very very few ever reach it)
- Homeworld / Homeworld 2 (more of a personal preference, but the best strategy games I ever played)
- BioShock / BioShock 2 (not the most polished games, but the worlds are so very amazing)

And while there are many more good ones, they don't quite match up.

oh boy, the entire half-life series. fear/halo too, but they only have some really shining moments of awesomeness in the sun....with double rainbows. Half-life barely has clouds.

Here we go. This is my list too ;)

Final Fantasy VI.

It started my love affair with the Final Fantasy series as well as being, in my opinion, the best game out of them all.
My thoughts exactly. I still have the SNES cartridge, DS re-release, PS1 game(FF Anthology) , and Emulator on my computer. All played and all beaten.

None. I pride myself in finding things to nitpick about even in the games i play over and over and enjoy a lot. There is always room for improvement, there is always something that could be done better, there is always a gameplay element that is flawed.

Dark Chronicles.
I love that game deep to the heart.
Oh yes, I get pissed when people say that FFX was bad. Even more when they say it was the worst in the series.

Baldur's Gate 2. It was damn good and nothing you say will diminish its greatness.
I stand by your side on that one, Baldur's Gate, and BG2 are some of the greatest games out there.

by your definition? None....okay, okay, you do not bad-mouth the MechWarrior series around me. Ever.

By a broader definition (when people needlessly bash these games I get a little sadface) you can throw the Mass Effect series and Halo series on there. Either of them perfect? Heavens no, but they are both great fun.

Kingdom Hearts. 1 and 2 at least, Chain of Memories was a bit pants and I haven't played Birth by Sleep enough to judge.

Golly, I hope they make a third. Y'know, a proper third.
first i agree with you about kingdom hearts, second awesome icon, third my favorites are castlevania, TWEWY, and Diablo 2

Dragon Age: Origins

A lot of different people had alot of different critique Dragon Age, yet I still love it. The graphics aren't that good (Xbox 360), it had alot of bugs and some people thought the story was cliché. It had me immersed in that story, I had the constant urge to find out what was next and that's what I want in a game. To be able to drown yourself in the game until the end credits were rolling on your screen. That's what I want in a game, and for me, Dragon Age did that exceptionally well.

I would have to give it up for D. Not Vampire Hunter D, Not D2, just D. Especially if you consider graphically that it looks good, yet it was first wave PS1 game.
D

I mean, it was even made by Ack!Lame, a company I tend to not be fond of.
