Eh, I loved the whole movie. Especially the pistolero sequence, and of course Danny Trejo, small as his role may be. After I saw this movie, I watched the other two parts of the trilogy and it's really too bad that Salma Hayek had such a small roll in the third.SkylerRock said:Nah, Once Upon A Time In Mexico was only good when Johnny Depp was on-screen, the rest of it was a bit meh, "I can't see, fucknook, I have no eyes". From Dusk Til Dawn was awesome though, "I NEVER SAID HELP US!" "Well that doesn't matter because you've got about 3 fuckin' seconds to live." (I thought it better to use that quote than the 'pussy list' from one of Cheech Marin's 3 roles in the film).
You crazy ninja, I JUST finished watching this movie for the first time.oliveira8 said:I have another one! The Prestige from Christopher Nolan. Everyone knows The Dark Knight and Batman Begins, but The Prestige is really really great. Some people don't like the ending, but doesn't change that it's great.
It's about two rival magicians in the Victorian age(or something close to it), as both try to out do each other and leave the other in the dirt. And in the mix you have crazy Tesla SCIENCE!
Oh and the best part? It's better than the book it's based on.
Seriously go watch The Prestige.
It was cool because it had whales...Whelp said:Also, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home was highly underrated in my opinion.
What a coincidence! I referenced a movie that you loved and you referenced a movie that I loved! I have seen over 2500 movies in my life and Battle Royale sits snugly in my top 15 of all time! I'm dreading the American remake though. It was derailed by the writer's strike but that doesn't mean that it's gone for good. I figure it's inevitable that it will get made.sportsboy85 said:Wooo I love this movie! My underrated is Battle Royale, don't know anybody who's heard of it, but since you guys are movie buffs most likely, I bet you have.AvsJoe said:A LOT of these movies aren't underrated. A couple are under-watched, sure, but most here aren't underrated.
OT: I just watched a movie called The Brothers Bloom that didn't get a wide release despite the fact that it's full of quirky humour and heart. I'm surprised that it never did get anything more than its current cult following.
this along with Max Payne and The Boondock Saintsoliveira8 said:Oh I know that movie! It's was fun. Another underrated comedy is Evolution. Just for the notion that they kill aliens with Head & Shoulders.
I don't count the third one, It's a shame, even if compared to B rated Si-Fi channel movies...Nivag said:Both of these films are amazing! I actually recently bought the Starship Troopers trilogy on account of not seeing the second two before. Can see why everybody dislikes the later onesJark212 said:Starship Troopers!!!But yeah, the first is insane.
