I hate to say it but.. its the average American... way to many of us get winded walking to get a twinkie... 12 min miles are 15 minutes faster then a lot of America.

OT: I'm a little better then par for the course. I do have to scale it a bit as I am a lean person, I get trim not stacked if that makes any since

The graphic that goes along with it sure isn't misleading at all. (except the penis size, that seems fair)

But I'm above average in some areas and lacking in other areas, like most men- it would be boring if I were just overall average.

Lessee here...good Lord.

OK. About 9 inches above average--6'6"--and roughly 22 pounds above the average, at 190. 7 to 9 hours of exercise a week, a mile that averages about 7:30 but has been clocked at 5:14, 48 BPM resting, able to do 11 pull-ups before failure (the last few tend to get fairly questionable, but I'm being narcissistic here), waist size varying between 31 and 32. Oh, and about 3 inches above average, evidently.

On the minus side, although I'm capable of benching up to 250lbs (with a spotter, one rep only), the average weight I bench at the gym is just shy of 130. So apparently that needs work.

On balance, though, I think I've still emerged from this fairly superhuman...something can't be right here.

I love how this immediately turned into a penis measuring contest.
I also love how everybodys lying or everyone on the escapist has a large one.
Well what can we do? Ask for a picture with a frame of reference and photographic ID? Actually that gives me a thread idea (joking).

An inch and a half bigger (where it counts).
3 inches taller.
Weigh 30 pounds less.

I don't exercise, at all.
Probably gonna die sooner than 77.

I'd like to say that I'm slightly better than all those statistics(except pull-ups and running), but I've never had a fitness test to prove it.

Not that I care. As long as I can lift boxes and shit at a job, I won't waste my time increasing my bench-pressing numbers so I can flash them to a bunch of over-compensating, insecure males.

I'm also not 18 yet, so I can't really respond to this thread, heh.

Quite a few of these stats surprised me, some to the point that there must be something wrong with the tests.

crap give me a sec

I'm physically fit (I am I've passed the tests) but I don't consider myself to be (no upper body strength)

I'm 6 feet tall

chest and biceps of mine are probably smaller

I can do 2 pull ups if I can make the first one (so I'm 0 OR 2)

I don't have exercise equipment but I do work out about 6-7 hours a week (if you consider jogging/running to be working out)

as for "size"I won't state mine except that it's larger then normal

and anyone bragging about their size is a liar because if they did have a "big one" they would know it's a curse not a gift

Those are the kind of guys I would punch in high school for stealing my girlfriend or acting like one of those jersey shore asshats.

What gets me is that you are all "above average" but for the average to be 5.08 inches, didn't half the guys have to be less than that?
And blah, that guy is a douche and I can honestly say I have never called anyone that in my life until now...

I'm like ten times better at pull-ups than the national average apparently.

I wonder if they included that dude's haircut when they measured him for height...?

Apparently I am a scrawny brat compared to the average American (I'm British and therefore sexy), although that is likely due to the 3 stone I have lost in 5 months! Woop Woop!
I'm not physically fit (haven't started hitting the gym yet)
I don't buy any supplements
I don't have any exercize machines
If you count walking at a good pace (as in, about 3.5 mph), which is what I do for exercize, about 7-8 hours a week
See top :)
Pull ups - 0
Average life span - well obviously I don't know yet
Best shape - I'm 18 now, so I'm not sure about that right now
Haven't run a mile in years
I have put on a lot of muscle over the last few months!
I'm 6'2''
Chest size is about 38'' I think
Average body fat - not too sure
Size of biceps - nowhere near 13''
Average waist size - closer to 30-32''
*Ahem* Size - ...[small][sub]...mumble[/sub][/small]

I out-do most males in "size" of a certain area, my mile run's currently 10:15 and slowly improving (hopefully continues to), I can do about 3 pullups so far, and do 51 situps in one minute. Only thing they beat me in is pushups (I have really weak arm muscles, can only do about 25 in one minute), and height. But It's not surprise about height, I still have about two more years to grow those last few inches.

Also: epic laughter occurred when I read the "number that consider themselves fit" and then "number that actually are fit." Also epic time on "Average Hotel Porn-Watcher."

In response to this article I took out a stop watch and started doing push ups, expecting to be well above average. 35 Seconds in I hit the 33 push up mark, laid down and decided I need to get back into cardio.

If caffeine counts as a vitamin then I'm above average for money spent on vitamins/supplements. If it doesn't, then I'm pretty sure I haven't had a vitamin in years.

According to every other metric, I'm superior to the average male.... except in bed....

Let's see, I am:

Just shy of a foot taller than average.
Barely under double the average weight.
Almost certainly higher on the BMI, but I can't say as I can't measure it readily.
I spend nothing on supplements.
I get 0 hours per week of exercise.
and I was at the best shape of my life at 16.

Everything else I'm just about the same or it's not readily obvious.

PS - I totally thought the average male would be taller than that. I really am surrounded by midgets. Who knew?
