Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what happened too. The most important thing you have to remember, if you're a veteran of the community and you've been here for a long time:
your status on the forums will not affect how the mods deal with your posts. It doesn't matter if you joined yesterday or if you've been here three years. If you do something to push your post outside the boundary of 'acceptable behavior,' you'll face the consequences.
I don't know this for a certainty, but I'm almost certain that one of the things the mods hate the most is the idea of veterans of the forum who think that since they've been there so long, and their status is so high, they can get away with whatever they want. They just hate that. So if you're a forum veteran, you still need to be careful what you post.
