Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

[MasterSqueak]

Eric ran over to the lake, calling Calhoun and Rascal to him. He whipped out his pokedex and scanned the nearest pokemon.

Magikarp?

That sounded as good as any, so he told Calhoun to shock it. The water amplified the shock and caused it and several other pokemon to faint.

"Oops..."

He threw a pokeball at the Magikarp, watching as the ball bounced back to him.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Click!

He picked up the pokeball, grinning.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus watched his friends capture Pokemon, and he was glad to see that they were all successful. Magnus himself was having Garnet train against some Bug-Type Pokemon, and glad to see she was getting stronger.

He looked over everyone to see what they had caught. Aiofe was crossing her fingers in hope that Marill would be hers, Mark had easily captured a Heracross, and Eric captured a Magikarp...

Magnus walked over to Eric, and patted him on the shoulder.

"That's pretty clever of you." Magnus said. "Not many people would go through the trouble of Training a Magikarp, despite the benefit of it becoming a Gyarados. I see good things coming from you, Eric..."

Magnus tousled the boy's hair, and went back to sitting beneath the Oran Tree.

"Eric shows promise in being a good trainer. Hell maybe good enough to beat Ash." Brandon said siting next to Magnus. "I'll have to keep my eyes out for a new pokemon of my own." He said thinking out loud.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

The mention of Ash brought Magnus back to that encounter on Mt. Silver. He had taken a helicopter, and climbed a mountain, but it was for naught. The Trainer had not been swayed, and Magnus left empty-handed.

"I don't know about that, Brandon. He's still got years to go before he's even close to reaching Ash's skill level. That guy's in a league all of his own." Magnus remarked. "Still, I'm certain he'll do well for himself.."

 

[prinxess]

The Pokeball let out a low beep, signalling that the Marill was securely caught. Aoife jumped with joy, before grabbing the Pokeball and kissing it.

?I caught a Marill!? She cheered. ?Oh, thank you Ruby!?

The Spinda smiled and began to paddle her legs in the water, leaving Aoife to get acquainted with her new Pokemon. She released the Marill and quickly checked the gender.

?Female... Hm. I guess I should name you now...? Aoife said, scratching her chin. ?What about... Bubbles? Nah, that?s not creative. What about Mar? I know its lame but...?

The Marill jumped up and smiled. ?Oh gosh, okay that?ll do. Welcome to the team!?

 

[MasterSqueak]

Eric blinked and stared at the pokeball.

"Trouble? Gyarados? Uh..."

He let it back into the lake.

"Hello."

"Karp."

"I'm your new trainer."

"Karp."

"Um, are you a boy or a girl?"

"Karp."

Eric put his hand to his face.

"Can't you say anything else?"

"Magikarp."

Eric fell over, and his pokemon went over to introduce themselves.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus couldn't help but laugh at Eric's frustration with the Magikarp.

"Hahahaha!" Magnus laughed, and walked back up to Eric. "Oh, now I feel bad for laughing... Look at the whiskers, Eric! Males have yellow, females have white. What color are they?"

Mark and Combusken walked over to the group, Mark tried his hardest to not laugh at Eric and Combusken didn't stop himself at all. "Hey it's not nice to just laugh at people like that."
"You were laughing too."
"I didn't do it out loud like you did. I guess you should get acquainted with Heracross now huh?"
"Yeah bring her out."
"Her?" Mark asked himself as he brought out Heracrosses ball and released it. "Now how do we tell the difference?" He took out his Pokedex and looked up Heracross. "Hmmm X shaped horn for male and heart shaped for female?" He looked at Heracrosses horn. "Heart shaped guess you were right."
"I know I was right."
"Don't be so smug."
"Don't be so stupid."
Mark sighed. "Well welcome to the team Heracross."
"Heracross!" It replied happily tackling Mark in a hug.
"Well aren't you just the affectionate type."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

After everyone had captured their Pokemon, Magnus stood up and called back his own.

"Alright, we've been here for about an hour." Magnus informed everyone. "Let's get back on the road..."

 

[MasterSqueak]

"Alright, one second!"

Checking the whiskers on his Magikarp, he noticed they were yellow.

"So you're a guy?"

"Karp."

"Riiight. I think I'll call you Magician, because you're a MAGIkarp! Clever, huh?"

The Magikarp stared at him, disinterested. Eric sighed, pulling out the fish pokemon's ball.

"Just get in the ball please."

It poked the the button with it's...nose? Face? Eric didn't know, but he put the now occupied ball away and turned to his other pokemon.

"Who wants to stay out?"

Rascal held up his paw, Calhoun yawned. Eric returned the mouse pokemon, letting Rascal climb up on his shoulder.

"Okay, ready!"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

The group continued further north, toward Route 31 which would take them to Violet City. The group stopped for lunch midway through the day, and ate and talked happily.

"Who lives in that house up ahead?" Magnus asked out loud. It was about three-forty, and the group was coming up to a house in the woods. "Does anyone know?"

 

[Lost In The Void]

"Oh that's Mr.Pokemon," Duncan said in a matter of fact voice, "Ultimate Pokemon expert in Johto. He's said to be friends with Professor Oak, but I've never seen him in this area."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Pokemon expert? But not a Professor?" Magnus asked. "What, does he collect stuff or something?"

Magnus thought about it a moment, and it might prove a good learning experience.

"Does he mind visitors?" Magnus asked.

 

[Lost In The Void]

"I've never visited, but whenever he goes to Pokemon shoes he's always very friendly, I'd assume he wouldn't mind guests. I say you knock on the door mention you're a traveler, and that you want to talk with him; I'm sure he won't mind."

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Alright then... I say we pay him a nice visit... What do you all say?" Magnus asked the group. There were no objections, so they decided to drop in and say hello.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

The group reached the front door of Mr. Pokemon's house, and Magnus knocked on the door a few times. The door creaked slightly, and was opened by a man in his 50's.

"Yes? Can I help you?" Mr.Pokemon asked.

"Mr. Pokemon?" Magnus asked. "My name is Magnus, and I was wondering if my friends and I could take a look inside."

"Oh, of course!" He answered. "I do love visitors. You must have come to look at my collection of rarities. Come inside, please."

The group accepted the hospitality of Mr. Pokemon, and went inside. He took them into his back-room, where his collection was.

"Please feel free to look around, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have about any piece." He said with a smile.

Mark couldn't even tell what half of the things in Mr. Pokemon's collection were let alone how to ask about them. "What about questions about different pokemon? I'm sure with your name you've got to know a lot about them." He asked instead.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Of course I know a lot about Pokemon. I'm not as knowledgeable in their biology as Professor Oak is, but I know a fair few things." Mr. Pokemon answered Mark. "What do you want to know, young man?"
