Masters, A Pokemon RP(CLOSED) Chapter 7: Out of the Woods.

[Mookie_Magnus]

"Heracross... Let's see, then." Mr. Pokemon mused. "Well, they're Bug and Fighting Type, so they're extra-susceptible to Flying-Types, but Psychic-Types do normal damage. They spend most of their time in trees, feeding on the sap, but occasionally move to find a new tree, or to mate... Surely you-"

The sound of heavy knocking was heard from the front door, and Mr. Pokemon excused himself to answer it.

"Feel free to look at anything you like, just don't touch it too much, and don't break anything!"

 

[MasterSqueak]

Eric looked around, before coming across a set of pokeballs. Each one was coloured uniquely.

"Huh. Hey Magnus? What's up with all these pokeballs?"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

Magnus walked over to Eric, and took a look at the pokeballs.

"Well, there's different types of pokeball than the red-and-white ones you normally see." Magnus explained. "Different types of pokeball work better on different types of Pokemon. That Net Ball, the blue one with the darker criss-cross pattern, is three times as effective when used on a Water or Bug-Type. That black-and-yellow one, the Ultra Ball, works twice as well as a normal pokeball. The black one with green spots is a Dusk Ball, it works four times better at night. Then, there's that one with the purple top... The Master Ball. It catches a Pokemon without fail, every time."

Magnus realized how much he had been saying, and was a little bit embarrassed.

"Sorry... I get a little bit carried away sometimes." Magnus said, his face slightly red.

 

[Lost In The Void]

Duncan was entranced by the Master Ball, "There are only like 6 of these in the world;how did he get one?"

"Maybe it isn't real." Mark answered. "But I want to know what's up with these rocks, they don't seem like they would be rare." He pointed a collection of fossils.

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"I'm pretty sure that Silph Co. has made more than 6 Master Balls... I think they usually only make them upon special order, though." Magnus said to Duncan. "But still, the fact that he has one is astounding. He must've paid quite a lot for it."

A small thud was heard from the front, followed by a louder thud.

"I'll be right back, I've got to take a leak." Magnus excused himself. He walked towards the living room, where the front door was. Looking around the threshold of the door, Magnus saw what was happening. "No..."

Three Team Rocket thugs were talking with Mr. Pokemon, looking a bit peeved with him. They must have wanted something from his collection... Or worse, they had some kind of business arrangement.

Magnus walked back into the back room, and grabbed Brandon by the arm. He pulled him aside, and whispered something into his ear.

"Rockets... Here..."

 

[sage42]

"What! What are they doing here?" He wispered back. He glanced at the others still looking at the collection. "How many?"

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"There's three of them in the living room..." Magnus explained. "Possibly more outside.

 

[sage42]

" What are we gonna do? If we stick around and they come in here thier sure to reconise us. Brandon asked

 

[Mookie_Magnus]

"You keep the others back here... I'll see if I can get rid of them. They might not recognize me since I dyed my hair. Not to mention they just look like grunts... I doubt they're fully aware of what went on in Kanto."

Brandon went back into the back room, and Magnus walked back to look around the corner. The grunts were now threatening Mr. Pokemon, and one had his hand on his belt, grabbed a pokeball, and called out a Raticate.

"Mr. Pokemon..." Magnus said, coming out of hiding. "These men bothering you?"

"Fuck off, kid. We've got business to discuss with the old man." One of the grunts said to Magnus.

"Hey, doesn't he look familiar?" Another asked. "I swear I know his face."

"Shut up... Get rid of him, Raticate."

"Quillz, go!" Magnus called out Quillz, who growled loud enough to alert the other Trainers in the back room.

 

[MasterSqueak]

Eric was looking at a yellow stone with a lightning bolt on it when he heard a growl from outside.

"Hey, what was that?"

Hey guys, better get your DS's and your copy of Pearl/Diamond/Platinum ready, because the Pikachu coloured Pichu is now at Gamestop! Thought you might like to know.

"Hmm, what was what?" Brandon asked examining a dark purple stone.

 

[fanklok]

"Well what was Magnus talking to you about Brandon?" Mark asked quizzically.

 

[sage42]

"Oh that, He wanted to talk to Mr. Pokemon alone. He thought at least someone should know in-case anyone asked." Brandon said shrugging his shoulders.

 

[fanklok]

"That doesn't sound like something he would have to pull someone aside to say. What did he really tell you, I think we should hear the truth." Mark demanded.

 

[sage42]

"Damn I'm a bad liar. And I cave to easy too." Brandon said with a sigh. "Alright, I'll tell you but you guys have to stay here and not panic." Shouldn't have said that. "There are a group of Team Rocket grunts outside right now, we don't know who many exactly three at least. Me and Magnus have dealt with these guys before so don't worry about it." He said with a slight hopeful smile.

 

[fanklok]

"Keeping us in the dark about dangerous things like that isn't smart, what if Magnus lost and all of them came in here we wouldn't be ready at all." Mark scolded Brandon. "And didn't they disband?"

 

[sage42]

"First Magnus is strong, he won't lose to a handful grunts, second If he did lose you would know they were here before they came in, and third They did but soon reformed under the old leaders son." Brandon explained "but listen, Magnus doesn't want you guys tied up in this if he can help it. So just trust him and if he needs help, he'll call."

For the lack of posts, I've been in the middle of exams week and just finished my last this morning. It's 12:26... and I have some reading to catch up on in this thread, so expect a reply hopefully tomorrow, alright? Sorry for any inconvenience, but you seem to be doing just fine without me.

"Raticate, Hyper Fang!" The Rocket's Raticate attempted to latch on to Quillz with its fangs, but missed. Quillz grabbed a hold of the Rat-Pokemon, and opened her mouth.

"Swift!" Quillz loosed a blast of star-shaped rays, each striking the Raticate and knocking it unconscious. The next Rocket called out a Golbat, which flapped around in the air.

"Air Cutter!" The Golbat sent a blade of air towards Quillz, who sent up her flames as a counter. She curled into a ball, and began spinning rapidly.

"Rollout!" Quillz spun extremely rapidly, and slammed into the Golbat, once, and then twice, knocking it to the ground.

"Arbok, take care of this!" A large Arbok hissed at Quillz, who was still spinning from Rollout. "Use Poison Fang!"

The Arbok lunged at Quillz, his fangs glowing with a poisonous energy. Quillz slammed into him with a third pass of her Rollout, knocking the Snake Pokemon into the wall.

"Leave now." Magnus commanded them. "This is your once chance. If you don't heed my warning, I will chase you back to your den, and wipe all of you out."

"You don't know what kind of enemies you've just made, kid. Team Rocket will be after you." The grunts threatened him, before leaving Mr. Pokemon's house, defeated.
