Sylas tiredly gave Vandal's pokeball to the nurse, then urged Baron off his shoulder onto the counter. The machine made it's comforting chime as Vandal was restored to health.
"Thanks." he muttered, taking back the pokeball. The nurse gave Baron a quick check and dosed him with a potion before handing him back. Sylas nodded to her, then joined the others at the couch. He flicked off the TV and sat down heavily. "Once is enough."

"Yeah... I probably shouldn't pay attention to that." Magnus said, watching the TV go off. He turned to Duncan and Sylas, and changed the subject. "So where do you think we should go from here?"
The front desk chimed, and Magnus' Pokemon were done healing. He retrieved them from the Nurse, and thanked her. She smiled at him, which made him feel a little bit better.
"I was thinking... There are a few directions we could go." Magnus began. "We can head South, and head through Union Cave to Azalea. Or, we could head West, and be presented with two options. Either go Northwest to Ecruteak, or Southwest to Goldenrod. There are Gyms in all of those towns, so I guess the question is: Which to go to first?"

Duncan sighed, but smiled a little before turning to Magnus, "I'm thinking I'm heading to Azalea Town and I think you all should join me. Kurt lives there, a master of crafting PokeBalls and my house is there. I can see Mom again, let her know I'm ok..." he trailed off, "You're all welcome to stay there and we can battle Bugsy for the badge, that twerps been besting me with that Scyther for the longest time, its time I beat him."

"Bugsy is Bug-Type, right?" Magnus asked Duncan. "You've got two Fire-Types. You should be good against him, but you might want to get a Flying-Type. You know, so you can match the Scyther's speed."
Magnus thought back to the last time he was in Azalea... He was about twelve, and he was visiting his cousins. That was the last time Magnus had seen anyone from his father's side of the family.
"I've got family in Azalea... I should pay them a visit when we're there." Magnus added. "I haven't seen them in more-than six years."
"I don't much care where we go. But I never really do, do I?" Sylas said, sullen. He really just wanted to leave this town and get moving again, forget about the Rockets for a while. And he had something he wanted to ask Magnus about them, but not really while everyone else was around.
He snapped out of his thoughts at the mention of a scyther. "How strong is this Bugsy?" he asked, "I'm sure Vandal would want to try his strength against another scyther."

"Bugsy is considered by many to be the 'Ultimate Expert on Bug Pokemon'." Magnus explained. "I think Vandal would find his Scyther to be a worthy challenge. It'd be nice to see a battle between them."
In from the front door of the Pokemon Center walked Falkner. He looked around the lobby, and found Magnus and their group, and walked over to them.
"Hey." Falkner said as he approached them. "I wanted to thank you kids on behalf of my city... You're extremely brave, and even without the Tower, people are grateful."
Falkner reached into his jacket pocket, and pulled something out.
"Here, these are for you guys." Falkner handed each of the Trainers a Zephyrbadge. "Consider it as a token of my thanks. Anyone who collects all eight Gym Badges from any region will be automatically accepted into the Pokemon League Championships, and be able to bypass the preliminary qualifying rounds."
Magnus looked at the badge in his hand, and looked at Falkner.
"Thank you." Magnus said quietly, stowing the token in his pocket.
"Stay strong kids... You're an inspiration for Pokemon Trainers everywhere who oppose the injustices that Team Rocket commit." Falkner said his final words to the Trainers, and left the Center, flying back to the Gym on his Pidgeot.

Magnus woke up late in the middle of the night, unable to sleep for more than a few hours. He walked outside into the dark winter air of Violet City, and looked up at the moon. A swarm of Zubat were flying across the night sky, specked with Golbat, and led by a Crobat.
Magnus couldn't help but wonder what and where Team Rocket was going to try next. He heard a rustling through the trees, and saw a few HootHoot flapping about. Magnus sat on the railing of the steps and just looked at everything quietly for a few minutes.
After a while, he returned back to his bed, and fell asleep again.
In the morning, Magnus got ready as usual, if a bit less enthusiastic than normal, and met the shrunken group in the lobby of the Pokemon Center.
"Good morning, boys." Magnus said to them.

Sylas merely grunted to Magnus' greeting. This morning he wasn't very cheery, even compared to his normal sluggish starts. He figured he'd allow himself to dwell on the previous days events for only a little while, probably for just today. He wasn't quite ready to move on yet, just because he knew there would probably be more in the future if they kept moving and kept fighting.
He stared into his breakfast with his chin rested on his hand. Baron was sitting on his lap picking bits off his plate, but Sylas didn't feel much like eating.

"Agg, Morin." Brandon said sitting up from his bed. Sure he had slept like a rock but it was filled with dreams of the tower collapsing, each time worse than the last. God even Darkrais messages weren't that depressing. He thought as he got dressed. "C'mon man. You need to eat somethin." Brandon said to Syalas as he got him self some toast and started eating.

Duncan had already gone for a walk before anyone had been up. He hadn't slept well, but the walk had done wonders to clear his head. He had looked at the tower once again and that somehow had given him closure.
He walked back where everyone was eating, "Sylas man, its not good to dwell on the past, we have to move onto the future," he scratched Houndour behind the ear, "C'mon eat something at least.

"Duncan, how long do you expect it will take for us to get through Union Cave to Azalea?" Micah asked. "You have a rough guess?"

The group left the Pokemon Center once everyone was ready, and set out on their journey South along Route 32, towards Union Cave.

Large shadows were cast by the larger trees, serving as hiding places for Pokemon that were normally nocturnal, but trying one last attempt at hunting or finding a meal. Herds of Mareep roamed the grasses, and the Ekans warmed themselves on the rocks.
"Come on guys..." Magnus beckoned them forward. "Let's go."

"Hm I supose it's time to add to my team. Or just wait until Lilly brings me the Egg." Brandon said more to himself than anybody. "Aww waht the hell." He said scaning for a pokemon he wanted. "How bout an Ekans." He said calling out Dictus. "Alright Dictus Transform." He said as the Ditto transformed into the purple Snake pokemon. "Bite!" Brandon commanded as the Ditto/Ekans lunged forward, it's Jaws wide.

Sylas was letting both Vandal and Baron walk next to him. It was shaping up to be a decent day, weather-wise, and his mood was lifting a bit.

Duncan searched the area for a pokemon, he wanted something faster. He needed speed to counter Bugsy's Scyther and a Zubat would do well for that. He soon spotted one that was still awake. He released Houndour and immediately prepared for the Zubat's attack.
