That's why MGS 1 and 2 are both on all the last gen systems right?jboking said:I thought that image was about the new metal gear acid game on the iphone, why do people think it means its coming to the 360? more on topic, people get pissed off because mgs has been a long time sony excluive, so its kind of shocking to the fanboys to see it branching out.
I must say I find resistance 2 quite a mediocre game(excluding 64 online lagless matches which is awesome and I'm gonna get it soon only for that reason) but I find some elements that have been ripped off games..such as the half shield which looks like the halo bubble shield, the zombies which look like half-stogginized humans from quake 4 and the big enemies look like a bit like boomers from gears of war and I never liked the first one anyway I'm one of those scarce persons that like cod4 damage systemIndigo_Dingo said:http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=S1tooztwkfsk3v1n said:..and don't forget resistance 2....on second hand forget I said that(HA HA HA...no?¿ no one?¿ dull persons)....Spartan Bannana said:I honestly don't care, I found the game to be rather mediocre when I played it on a friend's console. But to answer your question, I agree, PS3 owners have been holding out for good exclusives, looking at their console as a long term investment, but with FFXIII turning, LittleBigPlanet and MGS4 are the only (allegedly) good exclusives they have

I wouldn't worry about who ripped off whom, you'll go down a long unending road.k3v1n said:I must say I find resistance 2 quite a mediocre game(excluding 64 online lagless matches which is awesome and I'm gonna get it soon only for that reason) but I find some elements that have been ripped off games..such as the half shield which looks like the halo bubble shield, the zombies which look like half-stogginized humans from quake 4 and the big enemies look like a bit like boomers from gears of war and I never liked the first one anyway I'm one of those scarce persons that like cod4 damage systemIndigo_Dingo said:http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=S1tooztwkfsk3v1n said:..and don't forget resistance 2....on second hand forget I said that(HA HA HA...no?¿ no one?¿ dull persons)....Spartan Bannana said:I honestly don't care, I found the game to be rather mediocre when I played it on a friend's console. You realize that Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge came out before Wolfenstein right?songnar said:I'll add a few more cents to the pool of thoughts here.
I'd like to address the question in the title "What's the big deal?"
The big deal is that this is METAL GEAR we're talking about. A game which has been alive longer than me and which has been incredibly successful. Metal Gear was a game which changed the way that people looked at stealth in games, in fact, it can be called the first successful stealth game if we dismiss the original Wolfenstein which I suspect we can. That, my friend, is the big deal. This is real gaming history in the works.
I must correct you, sir. You are automatically adding the letters "3D" whenever you see the word Wolfenstein however the ORIGINAL Wolfenstein came out in 1981, seven years before the first Metal Gear. Go on and Wiki it, it's fascinating stuff.asinann said:You realize that Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge came out before Wolfenstein right?songnar said:I'll add a few more cents to the pool of thoughts here.

It's certainly not stealth as we know it, but that is why Metal Gear was/is so important to gaming history, you see?Indigo_Dingo said:Yeah, but was that really stealth? It had no real LOS mechanic, so was more just a survival game.songnar said:I must correct you, sir. MGS1 is not on the xbox, MGS2 is not on the gamecube, and MGS 3 is only on the playstation 2. All ac!d games were released on psp except for ac!d mobile if you could call that a game. it can be assumed that konami 'dropped' the other platforms for one reason or another. concerning that you have to consider the most recent evidence it would show a sort of brand loyalty that they never released their later games on any other consoles.asinann said:That's why MGS 1 and 2 are both on all the last gen systems right?jboking said:I thought that image was about the new metal gear acid game on the iphone, why do people think it means its coming to the 360? more on topic, people get pissed off because mgs has been a long time sony excluive, so its kind of shocking to the fanboys to see it branching out.
I see that stick is well placed. Calm down.Indigo_Dingo said:Thank you for contributing absolutely nothing to this.SirSchmoopy said:Achievement points.
If they made a MGS4 for 360 with achievements they would probably add trophies for the ps3 version. I think i might be ok with this move. Everybody gets more MGS and I get more reasons to replay it (and a reward for having beat The Boss Extreme mode).SirSchmoopy said:I see that stick is well placed. Somebody is a PS3 fanboy.Indigo_Dingo said:Will you please look at the actual evidence? There is quite literally nothing to support the claim - you're the one in denial.Shadow-Knight said:I've been to other forums where PS3 owners are saying that "That's never going to happen" or "It's probably just a PSP game" and I think their just in denial. I'm excited to have another blockbuster title on the 360, at least I'm getting my moneys worth.
