Modern warfare 2: "Gaz" and "Ghost"

So my scoreboard look like this,

Griggs - died saving Soap on the Bridge
Vasquez - died with Jackson on the helicopter
Jackson - died after nuke
That ***** Cobra Pilot - Dead (thank god, she was a whiny *****)
Keating (Cobra Pilot) - F*d up in crash.
Gaz - died after being shot in the head with Deagle
Zakahev (spelling?) - owned
Z's son - shot himself
Al Asad - killed by Price
Soap - Alive, and sporting a BA mohawk
Price - more then likely alive but the Russian medic may have been unsuccessful.

But still, there's that little niggling doubt that the Mile High Club wasn't just for shits and giggles, and actually happened.

Roach- Your character.

Kind of a silly nickname, but hey, we had to deal with being called Soap the entire first game.

I'd like to say they survived, but alas, that is wishful thinking. Gaz was shot IN THE FACE (and people tend not to live after that) and the man atteptimg to resuscitate Price gave up FOR A REASON. I wish they lived, but all signs point to them dying.

Totally calling that the thing starts out without a peep to the mention of Cpt. Price, or maybe a vague reference or cut scene leading you to believe he dies. Right when you and your buddies get in a bind or something like that and he shows up as some special guy that you know only as Ghost prior to this part who saves your ass. He stayed secret and hidden for a reason, etc...

Gaz IS dead. You know, bullet through the brain and all that.

Deus ex machina and all that. Other people agree with me though.

Yes. A lot. Deus ex machina does not reffer the the game Deus ex, rather it reffers to the phenomina wherein a highly unlikely and often unexplained event occurs in order to help a particular character. Like say Gaz being alive somehow. More or less it would mean Gaz is alive (assuming that he is) because the writers fucking say so, now deal with it. Keep in mind that the prior statement was used as an example not a means of insulting you.

Ah I'm sorry, I wasn't aware. This seems like a very strange method of storytelling, but, whatever, I guess it must work. And don't worry, I didn't take it as an insult.

We dont exactly see Gaz getting shot in the head. A 50 cal to the jaw or cheek would wreck your face bad, thats probably why He weara the skull printed ski mask, to cover up the disfigurement. He calls himself ghost because he died emotionally or hes not the same person or some other dramatic crap usually found on TV or hollywood. A deagle 50 cal isnt the same as a barret 50 cal, a barret 50 cal round would blow your head clean off. A deagle bullet to the cheek or jaw is survivable, and the fact they are using the same voice actor, im sure theres more than 1 british or scotish guy with a cool accent that could do voice work, IW chose the same voice actor for a reason.

It is, in fact, confirmed that the voice actor who played Gaz is in the game.

I'm going to say flashback is most likely, but knowing how hard it was to kill Captain Price since World War 2, I'm not eliminating the possibility that he's alive.

You obviously do a flashback to heat or no fighting in the war room and play as soap in a flashback mode. Yay. fun fun fun. I think you do a flashback to when price has a flashback of chynoble. Its the same but twice as awsome as soap recollects it wrong and adds more explosions and immense heroics.

I never got that attached to Price. In fact I disliked him. He was alright, but Gaz was the better character I found and more likeable. Griggs was also.

See, what most people didnt notice is that Gaz had a protective layer of awesomeness, so the bullet was absorbed by that protective layer. Duh.

infinity ward actually said Price survived. altho i agree, i doesnt look like it.

OT: no one can replace gaz, not even the same actor as before, because he doesnt have the cap, the same gun and the balls to swear at the command.

fuck ghost, gaz is badass enough to survive that bullet.

I hate to say it but despite Gaz's awesomeness I doubt anything can survive a 50. cal deagle bullet to the head at point blank range.
