does WTF? Count as an emotion? If it does, we could be here all day. For more genuine responses, I'd have to say Bioshock 1, Good Ending. My girlfriend bawled her eyes out both times.

The ending to Tomb Raider: Underworld was the most aggravating thing ever.
I have a hammer that SHOOTS LIGHTNING!, and I throw it the main bad chick. THROW IT? IT SHOOTS LIGHTNING!

I've always found the "old" Bioware RPGs (Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights, Planescape: Torment etc.) very emotional, not just the ending but the inter-personal relationships. When I recently finished NWN2: MotB I found I had grown very attached to the characters I was being acompanied by, and was very sad when I had failed to achieve the "good" ending for one of them,
Kaelyn the Dove, who could have ended up a hero for opressed beings, but was sadly killed by a demilich I had failed to destroy due to there not being an obvious way to do so
.

Most recently must be HL2:EP2. ;_;

Metal Gear Solid 3's ending was probably the most emotional experience I've had with a game. Just knowing everything he went through and what he still had to go through.

And of course the iconic scene of Naked Snake in the cemetery.

I know it's going to be, and probably already has been, brought up over and over again in this topic, but...

Red Dead Redemption.
After holding off the U.S. Army who are trying to murder you and your family you... shite, words don't do the ending justice. Just watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9832BrE2q4

Dragon Age: Origins and Metal Gear Solid 4

I felt like I had a real attachment to Allistar and the idea that we could all die in a burning city really hurt me and its impossible not to well up at the beautfilly crafted ending to the master-piece of MGS4: (salutes) Rest in peace Big Boss!

When Gaz died, in MW...
That part was a little emotional, yes.

Red Dead Redemption just about broke me down to a little boy blubbering over the death of his first pet... if that pet had a bunch of guns and a price on it's head.

I'm too lazy to flip through and see if this has been posted already, but Heavy Rain drained me for days. It wasn't just the ending, it was the entire game.

Crisis Core and Lost Odyssey are the ones that come to mind. I mean, you basically know the ending to Crisis Core if you've ever played FFVII, and yet it's still incredibly sad. Lost Odyssey... well..

surprised at Red Dead Redemption.

But then, didn't expect a lot of things I got from Red Dead Redemption. But especially the ambiance and the environments, combined with the times that it felt like a Spaghetti Western... money well spent.

I'm also gonna add to this, the true ending of Starfox 64, where you really kill Andross. That ending was beautiful.

Well not exactly an ending to a game, but to one of its campaigns (hell, could well be a game's ending, so I'll go ahead and say it).
Best cinematic of anything ever.
Damn I remember that! That cut-scene (and game) are just so epic. My jaw dropped when I watched that scene.

OT: I found the super ultra mega perfectly amazing good ending really emotionally affecting.

I'm surprised nobody has said it yet, but the most emotional ending in a game for me was The Darkness.

Where Jackie and Jenni were reunited in the after life for a short time before he was brought back to the real world, that's about as emotional as it gets when you have the time to say goodbye to the one you love.
I completely forgot about that part. That was a really great scene in an underrated game IMO.
