GTA IV- Having had so much fun with GTA: San Andreas, I figured this would, as the hype told me, be the game to end all games. Instead, every single on of the intro missions is just another tutorial on how to do one of the six billion things Rockstar put in the game, my cellphone rings off the hook with requests to go bowling with my stupid cousin, and the only way to make it stop is to put your cellphone on sleep, which also disables your ability to do story missions; wow Rockstar, total dick move right there.
COD:WAW- Another WW2 game about another grizzled soldier fighting his way through the Second World War with sheer manliness. Though what pisses me off most is the multiplayer, I DO NOT WANT TO LEVEL UP IN A FREAKING FPS! If I want to spend my time working endlessly to unlock better gear and get the much needed XP, I will go subscribe to World of Bloody Warcraft. What the hell happened to everyone being at the same level and having skill determine the outcome of a battle, not with CoD, once you join the elite group, you can forever oppress the new players with your ultra-guns while the newbies just sit there and cry.
Halo 3- I can't say much, 'cause most of the complaints have already been addressed. The story is as cliche and crappy as the Inheritance Cycle, and I don't want to take orders from some commander who looks like she turned 14 last week. The actual gameplay is fun but isn't revolutionary, everything Halo does has been done countless times before, Halo just happens to do it well. I'd complain about the prevalence of screaming prepubescent children on that game but then I realize that it's so much fun to kill them that I would be sad if there were none.
Assassin's Creed- Not incredible, story is more tedious than it needs to be, and the modern day Templar stuff is completely superfluous. I really don't care about playing some dude in a white sweater when I can go seriously mess around as his ancestor in the Middle Ages. The gameplay is decently fun, but most of it has been done before, besides, it gets annoying cause everyone treats it like it was handed down from on high rather than just being yet another middle ages action game.
Fallout 3- Overrated as Hell, loses most of the old Fallout's trademark black comedy and charm, also gives you no choice between dog-kicking villain and orphanage-building saint.
Half-Life games- I like them okay, they're pretty fun, the unnecessarily long vehicle sequences and stupid physics puzzles become nothing short of frustrating. We want to go on an epic adventure to save the world, not stack boxes to reach a ladder.
Resident Evil games- Universally-frustrating controls, wonky inventory systems, and convoluted puzzles do not make for a fun game Capcom.
Fable- Why does everyone like these games so much? If you don't do quests or something of that sort than you have nothing to do. Oh, and sidenote, property management and all that other side stuff they have REALLY wears out its welcome after a while.
