I'll say Seinfeld ended right. It didn't overstay its welcome and the finale was genius. I still don't understand why so many people hated it.
For sure, he's awesome. By the way, if you liked Denise too, she's in a new show called Happy Endings. It's only 5 episodes in, but I'm honestly blown away by it. I'll reserve judgement until it's a few seasons in, but it has the makings of being the best comedy I've ever seen.zelda2fanboy said:Yeah, I really liked Scrubs Med School, too. Every time I see Dave Franco show up in anything, I laugh. There was a show on showtime that no one but me seemed to watch called Brotherhood. It was about a mobster and his politician brother in Rhode Island. Jason Isaacs played the criminal and he was amazingly scary. It was canceled after only three seasons, but it wrapped up really nicely.radioactive lemur said:The 9th season of Scrubs is not Scrubs. However, it was still really good and I don't see what people have against it. I would happily watch at least a few more seasons of Lucy, Cole, Drew and Denise. They are awesome characters.
Thats just your opinion. I thought Fooly Cooly sucked hard, more than those other show that you mentioned. but that my opinion.Kysafen said:Fooly Cooly. God, I can name so many things that show did right, but one thing I can say that it does right, that ascends it more than any other anime, is that it wasn't a kajillion episodes long. Fuck Bleach. Fuck Naruto. Fuck One Piece. Fuck Reborn. Fucking fuck Dragon Ball Z. It gives a greater, more mature telling of a boy's rite of passage than all of those shows put together, and it did it in six episodes. It was a triumph for Gainax.
If it extended past that, if it kept going only because a manga artist/anime director felt that extending a story with no regard to the quality of the finished product to keep making money, like the former, it would become nothing. But instead, it stayed limited to six episodes. And it became something more.
FLCL gave me nightmares, but thats what i get for watching it at 1 in the morning after chugging a couple NOSlinkvegeta said:Thats just your opinion. You're not that alone. It was one of the first that came to my mind.CompetingMantis said:The Shield. That show just got better from season to season, and the last episode was no different. Shame I know like no one else who's ever seen it.
That ending was pretty emotional granted. Mind you I still don't like how they did it. I mean in Life on Mars it was pretty clear that Sam was in a medical coma, seem as he actually wakes up (however briefly) in the last episode. But for season 3 of Ashes to Ashes the writers said "Fuck That! From now on this is purgatory and we're going to have a battle between the Devil and Gene Hunt playing a quasi St Peter role and everyone's going to ascend to heaven at the end" I reckon that was a bit OTT.jamart said:Ashes to Ashes.
Pub anyone?
Indeed. That was a great show, and the ending was so bittersweet. I was sad to see it go, but 10 seasons was plenty. A lot of shows run out of steam long before that.Joe Doran said:Friends. One of the greatest sitcoms, allowed to end on its own terms. Perfect.
I've seen parts of an episode of that show. I liked it, and Keith Apicary was on it! (He's an annoying video game stereotype character that does Borat style pranks at conventions.)radioactive lemur said:For sure, he's awesome.
