The funny thing is, that with my track record for electronics spontaneously dying, even with this move, my using Apple stuff is still more cost effective...
Still, this is one of those bad things that makes me dislike big business at times. Of course, I can get the most recent OS on my Mac for 90 dollars cheaper than doing so on a PC. Why don't people complain about Windows OS prices? I would have a windows partition if it wasn't so expensive.
because for the most part Win OS software still works 5 months, a year, five years down the line, while Apple....
well, proof in the thread.
Sure, you might think its cost effective to throw away your macbook after its life, but even now there is still a strong following for Windows XP and Vista [though the majority does not like Vista in the same way].
I actually plan on keeping my current laptop [Toshiba Satellite with Windows 7] for a good five or so years, or until it finally breaks due to excessive usage.
And when I am finally willing to upgrade to the next Windows OS, Ill just need to get an install disk, instead of having to buy an entirely new computer.
at the most, I might need to buy some more RAM or a bigger HDD, neither are a bad investment.
