On Women As People and How To Get Their Attention

I was actually reading through them (joined shortly after), and I found it really interesting how so many men can wonder about the conundrum of our existence.

But seriously There are 4000000000000000 threads every week about what women want and how to get women. And at times the ones giving advice are the same ones who made threads ASKING for it. Its a fact of Interwebz forums. Guys with no idea, ask other guys with no idea, how to get gurls.

As you are evidently trying to suggest you have a lot of experience with us women, how about you advise some of these guys rather than sitting back and saying, hmn, strange.

It's easier for some men to assume that women have very specific and alien criteria than it is to realize that they're not as great, interesting, or appealing as they think they are. It's like saying "the problem's not with me - they're the ones who are so picky!"

I agree with you. Every girl is different, and is looking for different things. If you can't find a girl who's into you, the problem might not be with what the girls want.

Would you prefer it if we thought that women were incredibly simple and easy to understand? I dunno, I just always figured that women would take it as a sort of compliment. Guess I was partly wrong.

Its seems as if she dislike that the escapist men (the majority of us at least) seem to classify all women as a live mystery that we are unable to solve.

My best guess is that she wasnts a word the doesnt make it sound as if they are stating an absolute fact. You know words (or phrases) like "some" "so many" "alot" "the majority" "all the ones I know".

Truth is she has a point. I have meet many women who are easily read.

Maybe you're just generally unattractive? I also wouldn't think women would like being referred to as "chicks." Just because women don't like you, doesn't mean they're all out for the same thing.

These kids are looking for an excuse for there issues with girls. Their introverted and creepily passive aggresive, but whatever its confident guys faults that girls aren't interested in them. Not theirs. Idiots. If girls don't like you it's no ones fault but your own.

Someone has a lot of pent up frustration. I am introverted but I am not creepy. I am passive, I see fighting as a last resort instead of a first resort.

Most women I encounter are either very shallow or very superficial. I would rather stay single than date a shallow or superficial woman. My preferences.

Anyway, women aren't alien and all that jazz, buts its always fun to sit around and talk/think about the ones in particular you like.

Hence it comes in the form of asking advice and exaggerating the difficulties of talking to the person.

It gets the frustration out.

More or less. I would say Charisma is what gets it done. If a guy can be decently charismatic he shouldn't have many problems. Being at least a little pretty helps though.

I'll be the first to admit my understanding of girls is rather limited but I will also admit that it's my own damn fault due to lack of social skills, self-confidence, self-loathing, my insecurities in assuming that said girl hates my guts before I ask her out, being a massive loner/shut in these days and generally being a massive quiter when it comes to dating. By now I doubt I can change my ways so I've become somewhat snarky and bitter on the whole subject but have gotten use to being alone and now I rather enjoy it.

That said, every human is different, every woman is different, so while there may be a few hard-and-fast rules I don't think there are any foot-long essays on the subject. Are there?

Any rule would be abstract, any how-to guide is 99% bullshit or stuff that should be common sense. The problem is, I've found that many people think the bullshit is common sense.

Bottom line: There's a lot of bad advice out there for dating. If you get your advice in a chain letter, it's probably bad advice.
