"PC kicks every console ass" Yes but only when it comes to hardware, software, ability to mod, better control scheme for FPS/RTS and so forth. Otherwise they are pretty much the same.Bright_Raven said:Yeah, i am a PC gamer, and PC kicks every console ass. but i dont have a problem with consoles, i collect old consoles as a hobby. PCs are hard, they break down and require you to actually know what you are doing to get them working again, and cost significantly more than consoles.
but they are better, have higher quality games, and are more satisfying and useful than consoles. and as much as i will never be a console gamer, i understand that many people dont want the complexity or involvement that goes with PC games, they dont want an experience, they want to chuck in a "next gen" shooter and mindlessly shoot things for an hour. hey, horses for courses, just cos i enjoy playing PC games doesn't mean you will, i also read Yaoi and you probably dont!
When it's your ass on the line, man, you'll be glad for that one second delay! Another thing to not assume - that the Escapist white text is the same colour as the post background.
I know some truly useless information but I don't have any useless skills and surf seems like a truly useless one.Fluffles said:Ahhhh you don't get surf!omega 616 said:Seen my bro "playing" what looked like counter strike but the people were rigid and gliding along 45 degree floors then dying for about 4 hours ... wheres the fun?
Just over and over again, no story or objective and there were loads of them, it was like watching a comedy that everybody is raving about and your sat wondering were the jokes are.
That video of people jumping with the aid of nades and rockets, makes me sigh and the flying one isn't that exciting, and I bet after a few mins you would stop.
people complain about grinding in wow or repetitiveness in games, atleast you get something at the end of it ... these "games" are like watching static on a tv, repetitive.
You should have said.
It's a skill to learn.
It's more the fact you have to outsurf your opponent to get to the better weapon to kill him easier.
And then there are different types for just surf-skills, and surf deathmatch.
You really just need to play it and you get the adrenaline rush of keeping yourself under control while shooting at the people surfing beside you.
You can't watch these kind of games without playing them first. You'll just sit there going "what is this, looks boring".
(people were rigid? what?)
Anyway, surf being awesome in general wasn't my point. You can't have control like that on a console, and you can't play custom content like that on a console.
Sorry, didn't realise that whole 'unparalleled flexibility' gets restricted depending on which argument the console people are making.randomsix said:That is far from basic and you would be hard pressed to say that something like that makes the general PC gaming experience better, as it usually isn't involved.Amnestic said:Just as many as consoles. But yes, as a predominantly PC based gamer, I am ashamed.
