I did have Morrowind on pc and never downloaded anything and I LOVED that game, including the cliff racers.AlanShore said:That's a bit tenuous don't think you think? Games with upgrade system in can teach you to wait for better things rather than buying the crap stuff.
Just two off the top of my head.
No, the beauty is choice and the ability to say "I don't like what the developer has done with this aspect of the game, so I will change it". With consoles if you don't like the way something is, that's just tough luck.omega 616 said:IF your going to stay away from the user made or mod content anyway then there is no beauty, so you can't really have that as an upside to pc gaming, it is to some but not all if you prefer.
Take Morrowind, many people hated the cliff racers attacking you every 5 seconds so a mod was made to stop that. If you weren't bothered by them you don't download the mod. But on the xbox version you're stuck with them whether you like it or not. How is having that choice anything but a good thing?
I have survived with normal copies of games all my life, why start messing around downloading things to change them now?
From what I have seen of user made content it's crap anyway, may not all be like that but what I have seen is crap or "so what".
Normal games improve dexerity so thats not just user made stuff and surly consoles are better for that than moving your whole arm to move the mouse, 2 fingers on one hand and all the fingers on the other.
