I have to ask ... which games are deeper and stuff on pc than on console?
It's amazing how much we divide ourselves, were not gamers, were ps3, 360, wii and pc gamers all fighting a never ending and pointless war.

Well, being a PC gamer, I must say that is embarrassing. There are a lot of valid reasons to be mad at console gamers, but bragging about your system specs is just retarded.
PC owner + Games = PC Gamer.
PC owner + Snobbish Monster Rig + Top of the line Next Gen Games = PC Elitist.
There is a difference.

I'm guessing the whole hate PC elitists have towards console gamers is because, and I hate to say it, but the negative impact console gaming does have on PC gaming. so many PC games are just console ports, and it really shows. hell even oblivion had the same UI as the 360, and it was clunky as hell on the PC. Not to mention the whole MW2 fiasco, with them trying to make the online play more like consoles, something PC gamers hate.
Still, doesn't give them (or should I say us?) the right to hate on console gamers. gamers are gamers, doesn't matter what they play.

Probably because pc games will always have the advantage of superior hardware (for good computers at least), a much larger capacity for longer and more complex games, the internet availability, and the ability to mod/whatever to the game.
When you game on a PC, you basically get fifty times the options, which is why I only game on the pc. Also, Console controls have always felt weird for me. But I think another big reason is because right now the FPS market is hogging up all the action, and aiming in a FPS on a controller sucks ass.
Still, there's nothing wrong with consoles, and I don't understand why some people hate them so much. But then again, think of how the different console bases themselves hate each other. Pc gaming elitism isn't any different from any other console fanbase.

The PS3(and XBox?) is oriented toward graphically enhanced, single player and cooperative gaming. best used with one or two players (or foulmouthed smacktards if in close proximity to a headset).
The PC is oriented toward single player gameplay (yes ,online multipalyer counts) and narrative.

I have a PS2 and Wii, the Wii was given to me by a friend who hated theirs. I could call myself a PC gamer, because I play most games on my PC, but the only mainstream stuff I have is Sims 3, Borderlands, and Spore. I also have Black and White 2, but, y'know. It's just Black and White, nothing special. I don't buy many games, only ones that my friends have highly recommended. I play mostly free browser games.
Consoles most certainly do not suck. The brought us Ratchet and fucking Clank (The italicized "fucking" is inevitable, you will say it), Mario, Guitar Hero, and other franchises. If thats the result of being a pc gamer thank god I am not one, I play a geeky amount of game time under my belt but thats a little too geeky for me.minxamo said:
The whole modding thing and making new skins is a bit much for me aswell, why bother? In a year or two nobody will be playing the game that much, those that are still there wont be using them, if anybody ever did.
The only reason I have the pc I have now is 'cos RTS games don't belong on consoles, I played C&C red alert on a console and it's damn hard.
consoles are also a damn site cheaper, you can't include the price of a tv in the price of a console 'cos nobody only has one tv in the whole house for games and no programmes are watched on it.
Either you buy a pre-built pc that has a mark up on it or you build one (which is cheaper) but you still have to get a mouse, keyboard, monitor and speakers which of course have to be gamer gear (cos your all so elite ... joke, honest!) the games are usually a bit cheaper but it's still way more expensive (unless you pirate).
If you want to play on a pc then go for it but it's not my cuppa tea.
I didn't think PC gamers where elite. Then I bought a gaming PC. Now I feel a sense of smug superiority.
Can still plug it into one, it might not be a 32+ inch tv but even that would still make it cheaper than some pc's.Amnestic said:
