Brawl was actually my favorite game of all time before Far Cry 2 came along. Now I dont have a favorite game.

not played the original, Melee was great but Brawl is the best though there are a couple of things that was in Melee that they took out, like Mewtwo. and, NO, Lucario is NOT the same

Also, Zero Suit Samus FTW.
Second that.

I like the single-player campaign (the subspace one); playing the chapter with Samus in the research lab really gives a pretty good idea of what it would have been like to have a Metroid game on the N64. Don't get me wrong, I like the Prime games, but I like Metroid Fusion best.

I still like Brawl the best, even though they added some useless things like tripping. I just thought the stages were the most fun of any game and that's most of what I like Super Smash Brothers over other fighters for: the stages actually matter.

I would have said the Original, but the characters in Melee are just so well balanced.

I liked the Original a lot because of it's basic graphics.
Same here. I also liked the stages too, but Melee had more variety. Brawl was also fun, but I didn't really care for the Subspace Emissary or unbalanced power-ups.

I would most likely go with Brawl. I played the original and it was good, Melee was just plain awesome and Brawl just improved it a bit more. I think its cool that they put MetaKnight and King DeDeDe in, but I think they should have left in some characters from Melee. Like Mewtwo for a start he was one of my main characters.

Edit : Jigglypuff is awesome

Brawl. Lots of characters, lots of character variety (no true clone characters...no, not even Link/Toon Link), great stages, character changes actually work to my playstyle (I'm sorry, but to me, Marth was buffed), usable air dodging, and multiple taunts.

Yes, I consider multiple taunts to be an advantage.

I'll have to say melee. I love brawl, and a lot of the characters are awesome. But melee's physics are way better. By which I mean the entire game was way more fast paced. When you had wavedashing, L-canceling, SHFFLING and what-not just made it so different and exciting. It seems to me like Brawl is more..fluid in motion but it seems like the characters are all out of shape from the break between melee and brawl because it almost seems to be laggy at how much slower it is...Sort of like you're more dragging the characters around the screen than they are actually moving.

Melee for me. It's one of the only games I was really good at. Brawl seems more about luck than anything else.

Melee would be best for me, it had more characters than the original, excellent maps, decent graphics, and it didn't have the Smash Ball. I know that you can turn off the Smash Ball in the options menu, but i am lazy, and it is funner without it.

I voted Brawl. The reason: Zero Suit Samus.
She's so much fun to play with her whip and her stun gun, and you have to love her taunts.
*Throws gun in the air, spins around and catches it behind her back* "Is that all?"
Oh how I love her...

Easily Brawl. My favorite thing about Brawl is the fact that it's more balanced than Melee was. *For those of you who don't think Melee was unbalanced; recognize the saying (No items, Fox only, Final destination..)* Because of the more balanced nature of the game I have picked up several mains in Brawl, whereas I used to ONLY play as Captain Falcon in Melee (am a bit angry that Falcon got the nerfbat upside the head though.) Also the slowed down fighting gives you more time to think of your moves and you don't attack by rote, like you used to do in Melee days.

Brawl, with a gamecube controller.
It's great, but so is melee but so was the N64... they're all great, but brawl is slightly better just because it has more of everything and OMG THE STORY MODE.
