Hello there fellow escapees,

I have restarted over my charaters class and race (ES4)
I have restarted over my characters skills (F3)
I have restarted my game because an NPC I cared for died. (F3)
I HAVE EVEN RESTARTED MY GAME OVER MY CHARACTERS NAME!!!!!!
Uh, just get the PC version, you can use the console to edit that stuff if it really bugs you that much, especially if it's keeping you from actually playing the game.

I'm kind of suprised I haven't restarted Fallout 3 yet. Personally, I play through the game as the good guy knight in shining armor then as the scum of mankind. I did it with Oblivion and Bioshock, but not with Fallout yet...

I think it is because it is really annoying, and incredibly hard to take seriously.

Edit: Like the text version of being in the company of some hyper kid, pumped up on sugar and energy drinks.

On topic, no, I don't have Bethesda Syndrome, I do in other games, where it matters more, like Mass Effect, or Baldur's Gate, where you have to stick with your class the whole way through. In my last Oblivion game, I started out as a knight, but wanted to be a mage instead, so I just trained up my magic skills instead of starting over. Also, I switched clothes to something more mage-ish.

Well, for Fo3 my level cap is 30 therefore I have no stats problems. I've already maxed Energy weapons, Small guns, Repair, 80 something Big Guns, high sneak, stats are no problem. I'm not even level 30. So, yea. There are people who can change your hairstyle as well. So, really if you have Broken Steel it shouldn't even be a problem for people.

On ES4 I created a second file which has surpassed my first file not because I hated the other character but because I felt like trying to have the ultimate stealth character but since I beat the main quest and shut all the gates on my first file I really didn't feel like training my other character to have the same stats as my current file.

Fallout 3 I restarted twice... first time because I his the point of no return (before I had Broken Steel), missed pretty much every side quest, and screwed up by not getting the perk with extra skill points with every level... Playing through a second time, I knew what I was doing, and I did pretty much everything there was to do... The third time (now), playing through being evil instead of good... and I have to say, those Regulators are a bigger pain in the ass then Talon Company was...

Oblivion... I thought about getting it since I liked Fallout 3 a lot, but after watching some game play videos, it didn't really seem like my type of game... Looked too fantasyish for me...

Serious? When I hit level 30 I had most my stuff maxed, and avoided pretty much every skill point increasing perk... my lowest was 92, and that was unarmed since I never used it...

Kind of indifferent, never found them to be spectacular but never disappointed either, so I was never really infected.

I'm really hoping Elder Scrolls 5 will hold my interest longer than Oblivion did, which was 4 days until I couldn't stand the horrid models (Oh gods, is it male or female?) and the number of times I encountered the same 3 voices over and over and over and over. They did get Patrick Stewart's voice in there though, bravo for them for that. Thought Fallout 3 was great, but I had the same 4 hour crash problem.
