While, from an evolutionary standpoint, having relations with one's cousin is not the best idea, I find nothing morally wrong with it. It's not hurting anybody, is it?
According to my sister, first cousins are far enough from each other in the gene pool. Think of that what you will.

I cannot recall the name, but some historical royalty kept inbreeding and they had a hemophilia problem. This couldn't be balanced out with outside blood, so the mutation that is hemophilia wasn't eliminated and their family all but perished.
The ones that had Rasputin executed, right?

OT: Sure, what the hell. It's not you, so it shouldn't matter who he impregnates. She'll turn him down anyway, just watch. :p

I suppose a follow-up question is: does this dingleberry have no other possible option in terms of women? I live right next to Indiana state-wise, and I am aware there is nothing else to look at besides corn and your cousin... tell him to pay more attention to the corn. Or else enlighten him to the fact there is this thing called the "internet" and it has a lot of free porn and desperate chicks on it. Don't believe me? Check MySpace and E-Harmony. Take THAT, Neil Clark Warren! Boosh!

Reminds me of a time my brother dated our second cousin, not that he knew it at the time. He met her over the internet and after having sex and decided to get to know each other they realized they were related. At least he knew it was wrong but was a little too late.

Tell them to move to the southern US because in certain backwash redneck towns its ok (morally not legally).

**edit** i never said he wanted kids, he's just a horny ************
It seems like he hasn't thought this through. If he does strike up a sexual relationship with her then they break up, it will be very awkward when they are around each other and even more so if the family actually knows about it. I would give him the benefit of a doubt if he had feelings for her and wasn't just in it for the sex, but if he wants her just because he's horny, he should find someone he won't have to be around if they break up.

Haha you silly Americans

Well, as long as they don't have kids I guess they could have sex. BUT it is going to be so awkward during those family reunions when the adults notice 2 cousins gazing into each other's eyes with lust.

Eh why not? I mean we are forced to accept homosexuality as okay. This is no worse than that. Two consenting adults who want to fuck.
The only difference is that homosexuals can't have kids and pass on their defective genes. These two can but as people have already stated it is very unlikely that one generation will result in deformities. Plus chances are they would just fuck for a few months, get it out of their systems then move on.
Forced eh?
No, most of us simply see the logic in not showing prejudice towards someone based on something that they can't control and which quite frankly has nothing to do with anyone but the consenting homosexual parties.

I want to say no, that's sick, don't ever do that. But... as much as I try, I can't think of a good enough reason not to. Some people here seem to think stepsister is OK, and I think that's sick.

It's not a question of blood relation for me, it's a question of crossing the line. Brother/sister? CROSSING THE LINE. Oedipus-esque horrors? CROSSING THE LINE. First cousins? Usually, CROSSING THE LINE. But in that last case, it does depend. First of all, who would know? Second of all, who would care? I fear that it's just stupid horniness on his part and he's only interested because he's desperate. If that's the case, stop him now. Others here seem to be confused and think he wants to marry her or have children with her... I don't see that as the case.

This is all very much moot, however, if she has shown no interest in him. Wouldn't it be sad if he hardened his resolve (and nothing else) and then tried to hit on her? I mean, geez. That would scar him for life. If she hasn't made an absolutely clear and obvious first move, he should forget about it.

I'm gonna have to say NO. A general rule for dating is to keep it the hell out of the family, extended or otherwise.
