I think I just ran out of reasons to play it. When I had a PS2 I didn't have the internet, so I never really knew when good games were coming out. But I had a few GTA's. I may go back on it to play through GTA San Andreas again though...

Well let my list act as a set of recommendations for you. And there's always time for San Andreas!

Battlefront 2 nearly got in, but not so nearly as things like Shadow of the Colossus. I can't help but feel that it wouldn't be half as enjoyable if not for the license, which lessened my eagerness to add it in the end.

battlefront 1> battlefront 2, except the emission of the space battles, which needed to be refined anyway.

But the main reason I'm posting (again) is to say what I said in my own post: Battlefront is like Battlefield with Star Wars. Battlefield is always great, and so is Star Wars.

I honestly believe that the PS2 is the greatest console to ever come out. I mean ten years is a long time for one game console to ever be around.

The Jak (and Daxter) series have to be my favorite games followed closely by Sly Cooper I-III. That's why when I went to college I HAD to have a PS2. It's just so practical and the games are entertaining enough to keep me playing. I wish they would keep making games for it!

God I love my PS2.

Thanks for throwing that one out there and going against the flow. I agree on the Crash front, but never cared much for Driver anyway. I'm not convinced, but by all means have your views. Crazy though they may be (semi-joke).

The PS2 sure did have a HUGE library though, and out of the 3 systems Id give that one the best system of that generation. I also really did not like GTA San Andreas, The best one ive played out of all of them is Vice City. With my second favorite being the newest one and its expansion the ballad of gay tony.

Since Kingdom Hearts keeps making appearances, I will reveal that I have never played any of the games and know NOTHING about it other than it's set in the Disney universe and the main character hits people with a giant key, which is strange.

And there's a Tron level at one point, which is awesome sauce.

But anyway, if I haven't played it, I can't tell you what it's like.

My list has no numbers, I've never played ICO due to its high price point, and I see Resi 4 as among the most overrated games of its era.

im pretty suprised, not that im angry at all, your choices are mostly nothing like mine, nor my friends, as we have chatted about this many of times, and i've played a good 6 of those games, and didn't think they were special at all really

-ratchet and clank (cant remember exact one)
-sw battlefront II (played this hundreds and hundreds of freaking times...)
-kingdom hearts 1 and 2 (played these to death also)
-ffx
-fifa world cup 06 (i like soccer, i know most people would never have even played this, but this is the best soccer game out, all the new ones are too realistic in some ways and fucking stupid)
-orphan (dont ask why, i just liked this game alot)
-god of war II, great game, ill agree with you there
-ffxii (regardless of what people say, i poured over a hundred hours into this game and dont regret it)
-destroy all humans (can't remember which one did best but loved em)
-prince of persia (the first one was bomb as fuck)

I had two of those games you suggested and I'd still rather have one of them than a new console (unless it's a backwards compatible PS3, duh).

Also, I preferred Future Perfect... I just didn't like the Goldeneyesque gun sway when aiming/turning, also there was more of a story, and jokes, which were hilarious. That said, it was still fucking fantastic. I've tried for years to find a copy of the original Timesplitters but it has been so far in vain.

edit: oh yeah, how the FUCK did Prince of Persia not make the list, it's only the best game series EVER. I don't care if it's just your opinion, it should be there!

I enjoy having someone with completely different faves, though at least 3 of your list were in my "maybe" pile from the beginning. You're also the first person to mention Destroy All Humans so far, so congrats there.

EDIT: I took what Tryzon had to say in his replay and I agreed. So I replaced Tekken 4 and Tekken Tag Tournament with Tony Hawks American Wasteland and Shinobi. He had a good point.
