I would say I'm a bit of both but I'm leaning towards optimist if I compare myself to some of the people I know.
I was thinking something along the same lines. If things turn out bad then you got what you expected and if things turn out good then you can be pleasantly surprised. It's a fairly good deal.la-le-lu-li-lo said:i'm a realist, thus a pessimist. i've also got optimistic qualities.
does that make any sense?
This exactly.xxhazyshadowsxx said:Pessimist.
I face the reality of life: That it's an unfair and unkind place that will only get worse as you go on. And then you die.
EDIT: But I'm also a Realist: You prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
Of course, i guess, if you realise the flaws of life itself, thinking it could only get better.neo34 said:I'm an optimist, not sure why though cuz I also consider myself a realist. Is it possible to be an optimistic realist?
Ya same here, I look at the reality, but not so darkly, they need to make a name for someone in the middle like me, I hope for the best and look at how bad something could go wrong, and how something could go right. I can't really explain it really.xxhazyshadowsxx said:Pessimist.

Life is full of surprises, it advertises nothing.xxhazyshadowsxx said:Pessimist.
