WOW Someone else who saw Monkey Dust!!!!
There are more of us than you might think. Someone else on here has the Paedofinder General as his avatar. I do really miss this show, it was just the right kind of sick.

Monty Python's Flying Circus, Blackadder and Red Dwarf are the triumvirate of British comedy. If you watch no more than three programmes, watch these.

I reccommend you track down "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" Radio show (Not the gow-awful TV show).

If you get it in mp3 form, it makes delightful driving.

If you're interested in some pretty obscure but incrediblely funny stand up, the ben elton stand up that used to be on the end of Saturday Night live brilliant. hard to find though, youtube might be a good bet. Other than that, what ost other people have said.

A little Bit Of Fry and Laurie,
Blackadder (all of it apart from the first season)
Jeeves and Wooster
Red Dwarf
Monty Python (It has it's up and down, but the genius is worth the slog)
Faulty Towers
Black Books (because the bit with the piano makes me cry with laughter)

Hello fellow Escapist!

Just as the title says. I have seen Only Fools and Horses, The Young Ones, Bottom, Love Thy Neighborhood, Little Britain, Father Ted and 2D TV. But I want to see some others, I'm personally not into The Office (I dislike Ricky) and not really a big fan of Mighty Boosh. So recommend me some comedies
Quite simply
All of it

Though.
One foot in the grave
Dads Army
On the Buses
My family (The older ones)
'ello 'ello ( it think it's english, but it's based in occupied france)
Please Sir

If no-ones noticed I like my old comedy.

Peep Show
Agreed, look for a show called Peep Show. It's hysterical, and actually quite interesting. It's shown through a first-person view from the actors.

Hmm... Monty Python
Blackadder
My Family
Skins, Series 1 & 2 ((technically drama, and essentially about skanky teens, but still pretty damn good, with more than a few laughs))
Fawlty Towers
Spaced

My two favourites include Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.

Jeeves and Wooster
A bit of Fry and Laurie

Just a vintage ad they made for the VHS release of their TV series.

FT: I was just wondering, does the Yugi Oh Abridged Series count as Britsh comedy? because isn't the creator Britsh? Btw I'm speaking about the Yugi Oh Abridged created by LittleKuriboh. I know this is a stupid question but I just need it answering.

Best shows in the world:
-Top Gear (best show in the world)
-Mock The Week (Frankie Boyle and Russel Howard...priceless)
-Never Mind the Buzzcocks
-8 Out of 10 Cats (Jimmy Carr...priceless)
I love all of them but I've never really watched Mock The Week but a few friends from school said it is great.

What? No love for Monty Pythons Flying Circus? Bah, kids these days.
It too way to much scrolling to get to the first Monty Python suggestion.
Fawlty Towers goes with that.
I would also have to recommend Peter Serefinowitz (just youtube "Kitchen Gun").
Eddie Izzard
Billy Connoly
There have also been a couple of movies made adapted from Terry Pratchett's (incredibly funny) books: try Color of Magic and Hogfather. If you get into his books, you might also want to read Robert Rankin and Tom Holt.
My wife really likes Mr Bean but I don't find him that funny.
My parents dig Dame Edna but I think we might be too young for that (those of us under 50).

There's tons more of course. I'll be back later.
