Im just going to list the games in my room that are sequels that are better than the original.
silent hill 2, Yakuza 2, Dark Cloud 2, Gears of war 2, Fable 2, left 4 dead 2, fear 2, saints row 2, and DAHOTF ive played the ones before and the sequels certainly make the game better.

WAIT! we can do movies to! in that case Iron Man 2 which is now one of my favorite movies

No, IR 1 Was great (good action, good story, stayed true to the comic books) 9outof10, IR 2 is even better (Better action, better story, still true to the comics) 9.5outof10

ME 2 was to ME 1 what GTA IV was to GTA San Andreas, merely a husk of what the previus game in the series was, in terms of gameplay diversity, content and FUN, a DOWNGRADE, and it should be THE OTHER FUCKING WAY AROUND.

You don't fucking SIMPLIFY a sequel, removing all the things that made the first game awesome, just so that console morons can play it, you ADD SHIT TO IT!

Whoever thinks otherwise is not worthy of the title of "gamer".

I play console games, I play computer games. I find it silly that you think a game that was made for consoles should be made to be more difficult to play on consoles, and find it laughable that you actually believe that the device you use for entertainment has fuck all to do with one's worth.

To be honest, I found the game to be far more interesting the way they changed it. Like, look at ME1, you got the best gun available once you leveled enough, and you didn't need to use any abilities. Just run in, shoot everything, and medigel. It was even worse for something like an adept. If you put all your points in Singularity, you've basically won the game. The armor and shield changes to the enemy made it, for me, a much more interesting game in which you had to coordinate your teamates abilities well. In Mass Effect one, I barely even needed them about halfway through the game. I find the clip limitations to be a much needed change as well, forcing you to choose the best targets for you weapons with limited resources.

I can't even understand why people say it's "simplified". They threw the horribly bad inventory system and had a health regenerator. I dont find it any different from medigel, really. Especially because Medigel wasn't much of an issue to your super battle tank one man army character.

So no, I don't agree with what you said, -and- I think the way you say it is the gibbering innane prattle of some guy who thinks he's part of some master race of gaming. A fun game is a fun game. A fun game on an xbox and a fun game on a pc are still both fun fucking games.

in my opinion they were both good games and equal sure ME:1 had more gear but ME:2 focused less on stuff more on cinematics and story and during ME:2 I just felt more awesome that's what they were going for hopfully ME:3 will find somewere inbetween but in future don't be such a douch It'll get you suspended or evan banned.

Not sure if it's fair to say a sequel was better when it crossed platforms and/or onto newer and better hardware.

For instance, going from PS1 to PS2, it was pretty much a given that Silent Hill 2 would be superior in so many ways. On the other hand, great as it was, it was nowhere near as scary as Silent Hill was.

Similarly, not sure it's fair to compare a sequel when it drifts far away from the source's genre. For instance, Alien is a great horror film. Easily one of the greatest. Aliens is not a horror film, but it is a great Space Marines flick (Sci-Fi).

In any case, there is no doubt that Empire was way better than any other Star Wars flick.

I liked Iron Man 2 fine enough. But Iron Man 1 was better. Spider-Man 2, on the other hand, is simply the greatest superhero movie ever. Not only superior to the first, but to pretty much every other movie in the genre.

Edit: When I think about, it, though. The whole crossing platforms for video games thing really is secondary. There's no doubt the first three Silent Hills were better than Homecoming, and that was on the newest platform. Going totally old school, Myst was way better than Riven, despite the same handicap. I still think it holds true with movies, though. Alien and Aliens might as well have existed in separate universes. The deciding factor for me was, do I like scary movies or sci-fi movies better? And the answer is I love both, but horror just a fraction more, so Alien is more watchable. But that does not mean I don't love Aliens when I'm in the mood for Space Marines.
