Okay, why is it that every time anyone mentions the PS3 and it's price and why you should buy one and all that crap, people always say "Blu-ray isn't enough incentive for me to buy one!".Anton P. Nym said:Condensed Quote
HELLO PEOPLE! It shouldn't be an incentive in the first god damn place! Sure, Blu-ray is a nice addon to a solid package, but unless you're hunting for something that specifically caters to your need for Blu-ray then why should you care if it comes with Blu-ray?
In other words, does someone who wants to watch blu-ray movies care if the PS3 can play games? No, they only care about the quality of the blu-ray movies they're going to buy for it. The games are an addon.
Do you, someone who activates in games, care about blu-ray movies? I'd assume not, so why are you, someone who plays games that you like, care about an addon that you will probably not use?
If you are a gamer, games should be first on your mind first and foremost. Does the PS3 have games that you want? No? Then don't bother. Yes? Then go for it. Blu-ray, media storage, everything else should be secondary and not influence you unless you are;
A) Looking for a multimedia hub
B) Hoping to actually use any of those
If you aren't going to use them, look at the games and see if you are interested in them.
EDIT: Though after reading your post more clearly, I may have jumped the gun on what you were talking about. This post will more or less be directed to everyone.
