I say if he goes to jail, pair him with someone named Big Bubba and see how long he lasts. Chances are after 3 years he will never want to rape or even think of having sex ever again. If you catch my drift.

Bastards like this is the reason we have the death penalty. This is just sickening
Seconded.

This rapist deserves lifetime in jail so he can get raped daily by even older teens as punishment for his TWISTED sins. And then when he's been ridden a good few hundred times, death penalty.

Christianity? Fine the parents for horrible parenting and jail them too for reinforcing the notion that Christians should be "free".

People often forget the purpose of a punishment. You do not punish someone out of revenge but because you want to make a good citizen out of him.
Other purposes,

2. deterrent for other would-be criminals
3. making the streets safer, if only for a while

Jesus Christ, I am staying well away from the UK when I become a mother. That's horrifying.

Okay, you're immoral. And insensitive. Although I bet you *would* care if it was you on the wrong end of it.

I completely agree, people who do such a thing to children should not be allowed to live and continue doing this. It would be a good thing if this disgusting pedophile was killed.

"For legal reasons this evil, horrible child-rapist cannot be named and shamed for all to spurn."

What are these legal reasons Mr. Newsreader? If you won't sentence them properly at least make sure we know who they are. Don't shroud the evil!

Sad.
Reminds me of this song by Atmosphere about, Marissa Mathy-Zvaifler, a 16 year old girl that was raped and killed at his concert by a janitor at the concert who was a prior sex offender.

Chilling and amazing song.
He's never played the song live since it scares him.
Scares me too.

I happen to be a Christian. And I think that letting the guy go, much less forgiving him, was the wrong choice.

Frankly, I say the rapist should've taken a few shotgun rounds to the face.

this line has been made better

to respond to your actual thread,

I believe both the 16 year old and the original judge should be shot, and that the parents should be jailed

Admittedly it is hard to care sometimes, I don't mean that in a sick, insensitive way, but with so much shit that happens if you let yourself get affected by all of it you'll never be happy.

That said, this is pretty sickening, especially the parents forgiving the rapist of all things.
Oh shock horror, they forgave him!

They should forgive him, and so should the child when he becomes an age that he can understand, and they shouldn't hate him, they should pity him.

The person who did this was 16! Imagine what was in his mind, try and empathise with the rapist himself, of course this was horrible for the boy who got raped but everyone seems to be forgetting that the guy who did this doesn't need punishment, he needs serious help.
The person was 16? I'm 15 and this situation is absolutely fucked!

This human waste deserves nothing more, and should get nothing less, than to be purged from the world by gillotine or fireing squad

This is just another example of how bad the justice system is, in all countries.

This also has the unfortunate side-effect of reinforcing the image in many homophobes' minds that gays are child rapists.
I'm not sure what you mean here. Nobody has even mentioned homosexuals in regards to this kid being raped. In fact the OP never even mentioned the sexuality of the offender, just that he raped two boys.
Bolded for answering your own question.

The justice system has been fucked for years now. Decades even. Did you know, that if you're under the age of 10 in America, and you rape someone, you don't even go to trial for it? They just release you to your parents.

9 year old, brought his dad's gun to school and robbed a few of his classmates with it, taking about 40 bucks, a fortune for a kid his age. You know what his punishment was? He had to return the money and say he's sorry.

This is pretty much the world our children are going to inherit. Nice, isn't it.
The sad thing is, it's probably going to get worse before it gets better...

What I don't get is the first boy's parents. Forgiving rape doesn't make it go away, and on top of that, why the Hell didn't they do something anyway? The justice system is not based on forgiveness, and it never should be. Laws are in place, this boy was more than old enough to know what he was doing, and then to continue to act this way having just slipped by the judicial system is...well, it's nothing short of extremely arrogant, and quite disturbing.

Also, who are they to forgive this guy? Neither of them were raped, so how could they possibly act in place of someone who had actually experienced the event. Unfortunately, there's really not much that can be done about it, after all, the boy was under 18, and so the right to press charges rests on his parents. But you sort of have to wonder, what the Hell were they thinking?

However, I'm not surprised to see that there are those here who are conversing about desensitization. Unfortunately, this kind of thing seems to be happening more and more frequently, and I can definitely understand not really wanted to give a damn about it after a while. You just sort of end up not caring because a) it's pretty depressing, and b)it's easier for us as people to leave stress for things we actually have an effect on. But still...what the Hell?!

In my opinion, he deserves worse. But at the same time, this isn't healthy human behavior, so you kind of have to wonder if there are other factors involved.

EDIT: What ever happened to trying a person as an adult if the crime was heinous enough? You never really hear about that kind of thing anymore. Just about how all these criminals are "children" and "don't fully understand that they did something wrong". Honestly, I'm surprised no one in the judicial system hasn't called "bullshit" yet...well, maybe not surprised.

Do them for child abuse. They told their own kid it was okay for that larger boy to do taht to him, didn't they?
