They want to make a character older men will want to guide and younger teens will want to bone.Rednog said:I'm a little confused about the female protagonist, she talks like shes in her 20's but looks like she's an early teen? Really curious what they're aiming at with her.
See your point but I think I'm more excited by this than Watch Dogs. It's like how ND makes you jump to it's going to be scripted, I automatically assume Watch Dogs is gonna go Assassin Creed style cos its Ubisoft. Hell, I'd like to be wrong but that's my concern, where it's 'open world' in the sense you go after set targets with a well explained HUD :-/SmashLovesTitanQuest said:The actual show stopper is Watchdogs.
Last of Us looks like a typical ND game; scripted bits and quick time events out the ass. Press the thumbstick to move forward and wait for the game to prompt you to press a single button when another mini cutscene is triggered.
Don't get me wrong, ND make the best scripted events in the industry, it's just that no matter how good you make them, they still suck.

This was my basic problem watching the trailer. Looks awesome, but just how well will it actually play? Im not sure how much of this is real or scripted, I need to see more Gameplay. Though if it is real, fucking A!XMark said:Yet another trailer that looks awesome but is probably scripted like crazy.
ah, well I didn't explain it very wellOldDirtyCrusty said:Sorry, but i didn`t get half of your post. You`re pissed about drakes drakes character and the supernatural stuff in the first one(which they get to explain in each Uncharted game, it still stays a bit supernatural but that`s were the Indiana factor comes into play)? It`s not everyones cup of tea, but to me it made sense in the end and in the context of the game.

Ok, now i get what you ment. I can`t tell much about the old guy either, the games (1-2) are here but it`s been a while since i played them. I`m just glad for the new ip. The last Uncharted was great looking and all but it somehow wasn´t the fun it used to be. Maybe i´ve enough of it and i just hope that ND packs a few more things, besides a teenage sidekick, QTE and low ammo, into the gameplay of Last Of Us. If not at least it will look great/awesome and play good. That can be enough for having fun.Vault101 said:what I was referring to is something where a character in a story remains sceptical of supernatural things, yet they EXPLICITLY see them once or several times
not thankfully in uncharted 2 its not as bad, I mean I'm not 100% clear on what the old guy ment when he said "you have to believe drake" and drake is all like unsure (other than it was pure camp gold)
I'm hoping the AI is just that good and it's not just all faked.Woodsey said:It looks like a well-constructed, linear, cutscene-gameplay-cutscene post-apocalyptic game set in a ruined New York.
I'm sure it'll be good, I'm not sure what's deserving of such overwhelming excitement. It's nothing new, nothing to push the medium forward in any great way (beyond having decent writing).
You want a survival game, get the DayZ mod for ARMA 2 and have your fucking mind blown.
Captcha: Agree to disagree. Indeed.
And Dishonored was the show-stopper, because Immersive Sims.
Even so, what does it add to gaming or the genre? Nothing really.Eri said:I'm hoping the AI is just that good and it's not just all faked.Woodsey said:It looks like a well-constructed, linear, cutscene-gameplay-cutscene post-apocalyptic game set in a ruined New York.

It's Chicago, and DayZ is good but not mind blowing, wwwwaaaaayyyyyy to buggy and glitchy to be considered that right now.Woodsey said:It looks like a well-constructed, linear, cutscene-gameplay-cutscene post-apocalyptic game set in a ruined New York.
