I'm kinda more of a Socialist kinda guy Elitism is for the Tories, It comes across as insincere but I do want to know peoples opinion cuz why dont people see that it wont last I did it as well which is stupid until i got rid of it it just seems like the fad diet of this generation, if that makes sense

I have made a combat game for the Wii and have worked very closely with the motion censors.
I have come to one conclusion. You can't make a good game on the Wii unless it requires no wiimote to play it or unless it is a FPS.

Lost Winds, World of Goo, Resi 4, Endless Ocean, King For A Day... So that's platforming, puzzle, 3rd person action/adventure, scuba diving, and resource management, all with really good controls. Pick a genre, and with the exception of maybe beat 'em ups, somebody's implemented a great control scheme for it on the Wii. It's looking like you're just not that good. Please name your project so I can avoid it like the plague.

But like you said, the target audience for the Wii will not notice it is a crap game, because they never played a good game, or they just don't care.

The Wii's not the problem, you are. Stuck in a dev team you don't want to be in? Can't get in on a project you care about? Why won't anyone else hire you, I wonder? Your attitude stinks. Get a job you're capable of, retard.

^^^ Good man, altough can I say one thing off topic that will get this locked........Whos gonna buy The Prodigy's new album this month Would it be fair to say that the Wii is the most likely to have the shortest console cycle, but then the current player base wont buy the next console, thats something I thought of looking at the comments above. .... All you nay sayers should get off the soapbox and actually do some research. If the the study proves that the Wii helps medically, other studies will be made to see if this study is repeatability and true. If that is proven then the amount of Wii(what is the plural for this word?) being brought will increase.

I find that the decision to make the Wii the low graphics system is something that crippled it with the whole "OH HEY IT'S NEXT GEN, PRETTY...." crowd. The whole attempt of appeal to the family is what made it work though.

I feel that innovation should be power AND awesome ideas. Wii doesn't get great ideas because it has a gimmick, or because it's made by nintendo. Wii gets great ideas because people make great games with great ideas for it (sometimes.) Same with the 360/PS3. Which is why I prefer the 360, it has great graphics and awesome games that I love

but its not so much few good games
just few games that appeal to us.
I loved the wii the first time i played it
but for me the novelty of waving a stick at a screen and seeing something tame like a cat purr or a Mii jump for joy got old fast.

The only games i think i will purchase for my wii form now will be Ghostbusters ( it looks great when its cartoony but il probably pick it up for my 360 as well) and wii fit.

Also, is it just me that thinks this Dead Rising: Chop till you drop Simply will not work, the wii can't hold as many zombies on the screen as the xbox 360 version. the graphics look... awful compared to the original and over all just seems like another novelty to ware off!

It literaly has 2 good games but yet its selling quicker than shit off a stick. The other consoles are going where the console industry has never gone and the Wii is at the back just exploiting everyone elses work.
The most widespread console is doing little to help the industry, and no one realises Nintendo is diddling everyone out of their hard earn money, WTF?!

I am making more money than you, I am not bitter like you are, I am not defending consoles like the fanboy that you are, and I just hate the Wii for it has made me (and my friends on the project) waste a year of my life working on a stupid game that was not compatible with the stupid wiimote and that was doomed to failure because of hardware.

In short, YOU are the target audience for the Wii. A failed person playing failed games (such as the one I have made) on a failed consoles. You just need to realize that when defending the Wii games, you are defending my past failures. Do you find it ironic? I sure as hell do. Well, if my failed games (not failed because of me I insist) are so good, go ahead and enjoy them, while I make real games for actual people.

You almost certainly are making more money than me; I care for patients in a burns intensive care unit. I do this because of the enormous amount of job satisfaction involved. Remember that, job satisfaction? When was the last time you felt proud of your work, you hack?

Anyway, it's seems like you honestly think I'm defending every single game on the Wii? An unlikely stance given that I'm ripping into you like this. And if you want to know if I've played this "AAA" title of your's, why not name it? Clearly you're not that embarrassed of whatever train wreck you wasted a year of your life failing to code properly. I own other consoles, I game on the PC. People who think that just because something has a target demographic that excludes them, it's shit.
People who think that just because few games exist on the Wii that satisfy them, no good games of any sort exist.
And people who're so fucking childish that they can't let other people enjoy their games in peace.

After all, gaming is srs bizniss. Fun is not allowed, unless it is the prescribed games on the prescribed platforms. Any other fun is simply not fun; you are deluding yourself. Fun is a tangible resource, after all, and if someone goes around thinking he's having fun by playing *gasp* a bad game, then he's sucking the Funnium out of the air, to the detriment of real, hardcore gamers, who are the only ones who deserve Funnium, because they're not the ones doin it rong. okay it's easiest to look at it this way, PS3 is a Ferrari and 360 is a Lamborghini people find them fun because they go fast and have state of the art technology and look pretty. the Wii is a Land Rover it doesn't go very fast, or look very pretty but people find it fun in a different kind of way by taking it off road!

okay the games are fun and people enjoy them all right nothing else matters if people enjoy the game it has succeeded on it's mission. if people in fact find it more enjoyable than the other consoles then good on it, it took a different angle and it paid back.
