Buddhism, they don't go around trying to convert people and I don't think they have an actual "god", they just have a guy that they hold in great respect, which for me makes it acceptable.

Well on topic, I don't mind any religion who's never killed in the name of itself

I'm sick of people saying atheism is becoming a religion.

Religion is holding a set of beliefs, so atheists hold the set of beliefs that there isn't a God?
Whuh?
Exactly.

And every religion ever has killed in the name of itself. Except maybe the flying spaghetti monster.

Buddhism or Hinduism they are more of a philosophical, moralistic standpoint and both allow for atheistic followers very open and peaceful religions.

And yes ahteism is not a rleigion, we dont not have dogma, tenants, set moral code, set rules, we do not have any set beleif code bar the lack of beleif in a god.

I've got a lot of Mormon friends, but I can't claim to like it...

If I need to pick one I LIKE I guess I'd have to say the progressive forms of Judaism, it very much hammers home my idea that there isn't anything wrong with personal faith, especially when its non conversionary and minimal in its life interference.

Japanese Shinto.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinto_gods

Interestingly, this has had a big influence on videogames: Okami, Pokemon, etc.

I'd have to say Christianity, but only true Christianity, not the false religion practiced today. I'm saying the type of relationship with God that Jesus talks about in the bible: Non-exclusionist, kind and forgiving, non-judgemental, does not worship an idol(certainly not an idol depicting the method he was tortured and murdered with), does not attend temple/church for to wear your religion on your sleave for the world to see would exclude you from heaven, instead pray in a closed room with the windows shut and have a personal conversation with god. Oh, and render unto caesar that which is caesar's, render unto god that which is god's, I.E. DON'T GIVE MONEY TO THE CHURCH FOR GOD DOES NOT NEED/WANT YOUR CASH!

Budhism,

Judaism is ok as well becuase if you remove god most of the situations can be explained scientifically. I watched a few interesting national geographic documentaries doing just that.

Every christian or christian sect claims ot be a true christianity how can you tell, If you take the whole bible litteraly that means that your taking in the gays are an abomination, stone your unruly children at the edge of town and you can beat your slaves half to death. If you ignore the old testiment or pick and choose then your essentialy saying that some of the bible is crap by todays standards and then the strawman arguments of lost in translation come into play.

Here's what I like:
A school subject where you are forced to learn ALL religions.
This, I do not get.
How can a society that calls itself tolerant of other world religions not have a quick grasp of all major world religions in elementry school?

In Sweden (which is officially Protestant btw) , BY LAW every student needs to study all world religions in school, have tests on each one and they *NEED* to pass the subject in order to even finish elementry school.
We have to study Christianity, Islam, Judism, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Now you might say "I don't believe in any of those!". I don't give a rats arse what you believe in because you're going to bloody well learn all of them like it or not.
After you are done with the course, choose whichever one you like, I really don't care - as long as you've gotten at least a quick grasps what all of them are about.

You cannot seriously call yourself tolerant to other world religions if you have no bloody idea what they are about.

Buddhism, at least they don't try to convert me to their religion like christianity and aren't douches like most christians i know.

"Hinduism is a lie!"
"Taoism is satanic!"
"God is all powerful!"
"God is always watching!"
"If you don't believe in God you will go to hell! So become a christian and embrace God's love!"

... arseholes...

Quakerism- Spawn off Christianity, but believe in equality and peace.
Buddhism- Same as quakerism except the spawn off Christianity thing.
Pastafarianism- Just random.

There in no particular order are my top three.

Catholicism. If I were to accept any religion I would want it to be as completely different to atheism as possible to justify the whole conversion experiences. Pope hats, wine, papal infallibility (est 1870) and a couple of centuries of tradition, bloody political infighting and crusades against infidels and heretics seems to fit the bill.

Although the religion I think makes most sense logically (excluding atheism, theism or agnosticism) is probably Bahai.

That is a good point, but I am saying based more on what the four gospels state, not the rest of the bible, but on the (supposed) teachings of Jesus.....the actual head of the religion.

Buddhism, it's a non theistic religion at its core.

My least favourite religion is anything that associates itself with the Council of British Druidic Orders. This includes Wicca.

Jedi-ism hasn't, I'm going to assume Buddhism hasn't because it would be foolish, and I'm also assuming Taoism and Shinto hadn't in general, but i'm a bit hazy on that.
