Well on topic, I don't mind any religion who's never killed in the name of itself
Every christian or christian sect claims ot be a true christianity how can you tell, If you take the whole bible litteraly that means that your taking in the gays are an abomination, stone your unruly children at the edge of town and you can beat your slaves half to death. If you ignore the old testiment or pick and choose then your essentialy saying that some of the bible is crap by todays standards and then the strawman arguments of lost in translation come into play.JaredXE said:I'd have to say Christianity, but only true Christianity, not the false religion practiced today. I'm saying the type of relationship with God that Jesus talks about in the bible: Non-exclusionist, kind and forgiving, non-judgemental, does not worship an idol(certainly not an idol depicting the method he was tortured and murdered with), does not attend temple/church for to wear your religion on your sleave for the world to see would exclude you from heaven, instead pray in a closed room with the windows shut and have a personal conversation with god. Oh, and render unto caesar that which is caesar's, render unto god that which is god's, I.E. DON'T GIVE MONEY TO THE CHURCH FOR GOD DOES NOT NEED/WANT YOUR CASH!

That and Japanese folklore, they're in everything.Uncompetative said:Japanese Shinto.

Interestingly, this has had a big influence on videogames: Okami, Pokemon, etc.
Jedi-ism hasn't, I'm going to assume Buddhism hasn't because it would be foolish, and I'm also assuming Taoism and Shinto hadn't in general, but i'm a bit hazy on that.ShredHead said:John-Joe said:Can't we call it people how don't believe in religion, instead of atheism?, it sound lame, and is kinda becoming a religion in itself..

I'm sick of people saying atheism is becoming a religion.
Religion is holding a set of beliefs, so atheists hold the set of beliefs that there isn't a God?
Whuh?
Exactly.
And every religion ever has killed in the name of itself. Except maybe the flying spaghetti monster.
