Topaz frowned briefly at EMily's imitation of him, then approached the hologram of himself. [color=FFCC33]"Topaz, you don't think exactly like I do, so I refuse to listen to anything you say!"[/color] He said, wagging his finger at the hologram. [color=FFCC33]"Despite that you are a magical being who has millennia of experience with all kinds of technology and science, I will not associate with you. Just remember, even though I'm the one refusing to even listen, YOU are the ignorant one and I am better in every way. Science says so."[/color]

 

[Slenn]

"Then how come I know nothing about science? For all this talk about my race having experience with technology and science, I sure don't show it and act like a complete obnoxious jerk instead. And for that matter, who do I listen to? I don't think I'm a good representation of my own species."

 

[Silence]

Anik listened to Robin. After he had finished, she said:

"Well, I don't see how this really helps against undead. Also, not that I would mind getting stronger, but these lines at least have to look good."

"None that I know of... they might've just assumed it was Calibeth." the priestess said.

"It's something at least." Robin offered.

Topaz turned his head to the side, then turned back to his normal form, facing EMily. [color=FFCC33]"You lost me, and I didn't even understand half of what I said, either. Lighten up!"[/color]

[color=9f2089]"Wow this is petty."[/color] Cybil commented as she watched EMily and Topaz mock each other.

 

[Chungus]

"Well, it was said that this would-be new deity was out to destroy the palace. So I'm going to assume that's not the case. But, if you don't know of anything related to this, there is no point in following this particular train of thoughts, I suppose", Timea stated, giving a small shrug, followed by a small smile. "Back to the original topic, then. Do you have any records of deities no one worships any more, or know where I could go to check in to this?"

 

[Slenn]

"Fine with me." She said to Matilda as she stopped the hologram and moved over to the flower. She moved herself away from Topaz as if he didn't exist. Whatever retort Topaz had, she didn't care. "Do you mind if I have a look at it as well, Jane?"

Robin nodded in agreement with Cybil, then stood, dusting himself off and walking to EMily. "Everything alright?"

 

[Silence]

"Well, Robin, don't you have some basic spell you could teach me? Like throwing a fireball or something." Anik said as she thought about getting this buff.

 

[Slenn]

She looked back at Robin and lowered her volume. "Other than the massive yellow asshole? I'm fine." She turned to the flower again, but then went back to Robin. "But thank you."

"Good to hear." Robin said to EMily, then turned to Anik. "I'm... not sure. I could try teaching, but I'd have no idea where to start especially given your... condition." Robin felt awkward about bringing it up.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"We don't have any such records, but I think there are old settlements further north. They would probably have records of older gods." the priestess said.

 

[Silence]

"You know, if it requires some special moves, you can just show me by touch." Anik said, not convinced that she would have any problems learning.
"Also, you can say 'blindness' instead of 'condition'. It sounds like I'm sick or something."

"I apologise. I was unsure of what to say. And there are stances for beginners, but you also need to learn complicated runes. Perhaps I could draw them in the sand for you or something..."

 

[Silence]

"That's a good idea. So how do these spells work, in theory?"

 

[Chungus]

"Do you happen how far North?" Timea asked, apprehension creeping into her voice. "Into the frozen parts of the empire, or still in the regions where the temperatures are closer to Kaisir's?"

"Probably not that far north, unless you want to learn about Faotar." the priestess said, smiling. "Not a fan of the cold, are you?"

Robin opened his tome. "You start focusing and building up power, then shout the name of the spell to release the energy. You'll need a medium with the rune of the spell you want to use on it. Some spells can only be cast with certain mediums, such as staffs for healing magic."
