"I have a couple of questions, about the city here, and the area to the north. Could you answer these?" Timea asked, keeping away fair distance away from the Melthan, so to not make them very uncomfortable with the heat of the fire.

"Hmm ... are some of them brighter than others? How does the one you picked look? It feels really nice." Anik said, wondering how she could make herself look classy with these limited options.
She added: "Look around if you see some that are smaller. They need to fit something like this one fits me." She put the one Hillary had suggested on, and moved around a bit, to get a feel for it, and to show Hillary.

"That's great! But we really could use a monorail to get to places faster!" Speedy said, thinking of the first fast mass transportation unit that came to mind.

"Speedy, out of curiosity, what's the world where you're from like?"

"Well, this one's kinda bright?" Hillary said, the fluffy coat in question being a light tanned colour. Given Hillary's limited knowledge of fashion, she probably wasn't going to be helpful with matching attires. Hillary would watch Anik move around a bit in her coat, trying to make a judgement. "Um... it's kinda poofy on you, is that what it's supposed to do?"

Since I'm already describing the coat a lot, Anik would find that the coat she had on now might be a bit tight for her at the moment. The bulk of the fur might be a bit much. But if it was like any other coat or shoe, giving it a bit of time, it would probably loosen up to make a near perfect fit in time. It would more be a question as to how long she'd want to wait and see if that could happen.

"So should I go look now, or do you want me to help more?" Hillary asked, unsure if she should wonder off just yet or wait for Anik to give her the go ahead.

"Keen. So, to start, I've noticed that most of all people here have grey skin, with white freckles. Not to be rude, but why is that?"

"We have all kinds of high-tech stuff! All built from the remnants of the human civilization! Sadly, there are no humans anymore, they seemed pretty nice. But they were eaten by monsters!
Our recreation unit tries to rebuild species that went extinct. Nearly all of them did! But maybe we can even bring back humans some time! Not the monsters, though, they would not be nice!
... I went a bit off-topic there, sorry! I don't know how to describe my world, other than that it has a lot of bright and flashing lights, and everything moves incredibly fast, and there are pretty much only hamsters there!" Speedy answered EMily.

Anik thought a bit, then said: "I don't know about this one. Do I look fat in it? The warmth would be good, though. I'm like sweating already!" She moved around a bit more, then took the coat off again, and placed it somewhere. "Umm, if you don't see one from here, maybe help me a little bit more.
You can see white, right? Is there a very white coat?" she said, then.

Hillary took a second to look around at the clothes that were right next to them. Seeing nothing but clothes Anik's size or bigger she shrugged. "I don't see any, so let's look for a white one!" Hillary proclaimed in a moderate volume. After looking for a bit longer, Hillary piped up and pulled at the sleeve of one of the coats there. "I found one, I found one. It's white just like you asked... I think." She announced, holding onto it so Anik could get it off and try it on.

 

[Silence]

Anik went to Hillary, felt the coat, and put it on, doing the same movements as before. "So ... how do I look?" she asked.

"I doubt this land has anything like that..."

"You look very... white..." Hillary said, scratching her chin as she tried to think of what things she was supposed to say. "It's not as poofy as the other one was. Is that good?" She stated.

"That's just the way people from this region look." the man replied, not sure why anyone wouldn't understand that.

"This doesn't look weird, does it?" Anik asked. She liked the feel of it, but wondered if the other one wasn't better to hide her form ... still had to look fashionable, of course.

"Yes, I know. They don't have anything!" Speedy said to Robin.

"Well, she can control the heat, but I'll have too refill it with mana every so often. I guess that's the downside." Alain told Rebecca, then dug aroun in his backpack until he found a tube of superglue.

He got up and handed the now-finished rune and glue to Shara. "No poroblem, it's just a rock. Here, put it wherever you want on your prossfeth- the impossible to pronounce thing on your arm, and I'll show you what to do. I'd suggest putting it somewhere it's easy for you to see until you get used to it."

Timea half wanted to ask more questions on the subject, but not wanting to offend the man, and expecting to not get much more then the given answer, anyway, opted to move on. "Next question, then. I'm heading North, to Femesh Daer. Going on foot, how long would it take to reach that place from here, and is there anything on the road I should watch out for?"

"Anik, all of these look weird to me." Hillary whined lightly. "I don't know what's supposed to be good or not or weird, what's the weird I should be looking for?"

Although Hillary wouldn't know, the coat in question was actually pretty flattering for Anik, not overly, but it would definitely be a nice cut for her. It even had a hood with extra fluffiness to keep her ears warm.

"Well Good news is the town guard is not chasing us, Bad news is one of the gems is out of commission and we lost the TARDIS!"

Anik tried to calm down Hillary. "Sorry, I think I think I ask too much of you. It's no problem,"
She felt the cut of the coat more excessively, then said: "I like both of them, and they could have different uses. What do you think, Hillary, should I just buy both?"

Despite the dystopian future that was described, EMily let out a chuckle.
