"Alright." Anik said. As she could not see the frown, she did not state more precisely what she had meant, that at least something was going smoothly, as she had tried to lift the spirits a little bit with the sentence. "Mostly the visit is for the rope then. That should go quite fast.

As Timea and Anik began moving east towards Mathan Daer, they would find the road was on an incline, due to it going through a mountain pass. The forest would thin out, replaced by rocks and grasses, the further into the mountain range the road went

Timea wondered how much money Anik had left, but didn't ask about it, leaving the question for the morning, by which point - she hoped - she would be in a better mood.

"We don't. Originally, I had the plan to fly, and scout out the area while approaching the mountains, to look for him. But, if we're headed into town, we can ask for more information about that, while we're at it, too.", Timea answered, and after some pushing herself to speak more, added, "There will probably be a Faotrine shrine where we can do that."

Seeing the terrain began to change, Timea looked to the distance for a moment, then relayed, "By the way, the terrain is becoming more rocky. Although it still doesn't seem too hard to traverse."

North Eastern Road - Day 10 - 21:53

"Hmm ..." Anik made. "I guess it was quite good that I insisted on a rope." she stated in a neutral tone of voice. "We weren't in a Faotrine shrine yet, were we? Or at least I was not." she added, thinking out loud. "I wonder if these people have something more to say about him ..."

Walking the road, Anik was sensing the change in the nature of the ground as well, with her feet. She answered: "We are on a road, and it hopefully does lead to Mathan Daer directly. So, let's hope it is well maintained enough, so that we won't get any problems."

"The rocky nature of the terrain could be a problem, as it wouldn't provide anywhere to bury your meal", Timea pointed out. Stopping, Timea looked around the area. "This would almost certainly be the case around the mountain. It might be best to bury it around here, since the ground is still loose enough to manage in a reasonable time, here. I can fly over and collect it again, in the morning."

North Eastern Road - Day 10 - 21:53

"Right..." Anik said, as she had not considered this before. As Timea mentioned flying over, Anik frowned however, not wanting to be left alone in the case of Quan Chi coming after her. Finally, she continued speaking: "Alright, let's bury this here. And ... you best get it while I am in Mathan Daer.

... do you see some good place to bury it?"

Timea let out a small "hmm", having the same idea as Anik had. She also wasn't all too fond of being out by herself, but didn't see any other way. She considered her eating what Anik couldn't, in the morning, but saw this as unfair to Anik, and was willing to take the risk.

"I do. This way", she answered, heading off the road, to the left-hand side. While walking, she said, "...It would the most efficient if I went to hunt for myself, while I will be out, too. So to minimize the time we'll be apart, it would be best if I left the moment you enter Mathan Daer. Fortune willing, I'll be back when you're finished, there."

North Eastern Road - Day 10 - 21:54

"Yes, this does make the most sense." Anik agreed with Timea. She followed her, dragging the corpse of the caribou behind herself. She was going rather slow, not wanting to stumble over some rocks, but also having no way of finding out if she was about to trip over some.

"Mathan Daer will probably take some time for me, then, but it is hopefully not that big of a town, so I should be able to deal with it for quite a while. First buying the rope, then going to a Faotrine shrine and asking about the way to Faotar himself, right? And ask some guards ... hopefully there are guards posted outside of the city ... about the others.

Did I forget something?" Anik said, planning out what she had to do.

Cybil attempted to jostle Robin awake by shaking him a bit at the shoulder.

Robin shot up as Cybil nudged him, making the chair he had been sleeping in lean backwards and him fall to the ground with a book on his face. "Thanks for the wake up call..." Despite the situation, he sounded genuine.

You sigh again, quietly saying that you'll do your best. You then thank Sam for his advice, and wake yourself up.

As you wake back up from your meditation, the first thing you see is your frozen corpse. It reminds you, once more, that Quan Chi can't be trusted but also that he's very dangerous. Cybil, in usual fashion, didn't seem fairly surprised when Robin toppled over. She crouched down and picked the book up off his face with one hand, and pulled him up to his feet with the other. [color=9f2089]"You really shouldn't make a habit of that."[/color] She commented.

"I'm fairly certain I've done that before, and completely certain I'll do it again." Robin replied, standing up. "What were you up to while I was researching?"

Quan Chi wordlessly opened a portal to a back alley in Vala, putting on a cloak and handing another to Shara before stepping through.

"I've been reading these times over and over for hours, and I'm still unsure. Magic here is different from what I know." Robin turned back to the books on the table, frustrated, hoping for a flash of inspiration.

Robin nodded, heading back into the books, but suddenly snapped awake as it all became clear. "Wait! I found sorcerers that can manipulate time and space. They're rare and it takes a lot of power, but it's a start."

"Actually, it would be best if you first went to the shrine, and ask if the mountain Faotor lives on is icy. And if it is, ask if the ice is of the slippery kind, or coarse, like the icy hills on Vesh. If it's the former, climbing the mountain wouldn't be safe."
