Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 21:46
"Okay, then. I'll be back before you know it!" With this said, Timea turned to leave again. Approaching the entrance, she left it the same way she did before, turning back into the giant falcon while in free fall. Taking nine minutes, Timea reached the place where Anik's belongings were left, and beat her wings to slow down.
Moving along the surface, Timea first grabbed the bag - taking hold of it by the bag itself, rather than trying to snatch up the strap - then made a U-turn, and crabbed the carcass on the return trip. With this done, Timea flew back up to the entrance to the caverns.

Nineteen minutes after leaving, Timea dropped the carcass close to where she had left her own, then beat her wings more strongly to unsteadily hover above the ground, dropping Anik's bag more gently. After this, she landed, and reverted back to her default form.
"I'm back!" she called out, at a voice barely above normal speaking level, letting the echoes carry her voice deeper into the caverns.

"Nice!" Anik called back, and proceeded to walk towards Timea, quite directly to her, as it was a good indication where the cliff would not end.
"Now I am really hungry." she stated, as she arrived. Clicking, she tried to find the carcass of the caribou, but found it quite difficult to differentiate between the three bodies.
"Umm ..." she said, "Which of these is mine? And can you give me my bag, please?
... did you bring my cane as well, or did you leave it down there?"
"Nice!" Anik called back, and proceeded to walk towards Timea, quite directly to her, as it was a good indication where the cliff would not end.

"You and me, both", Timea stated, blowing a small sigh. When Anik asked for which carcass was hers, Timea bended through her knees, and picked up the hind end of the carcass, then lightly shoving it towards Anik. "This one is", she answered, sitting down, then giving Anik her bag. "And here is your bag."
While beginning to cut into the bigger of the two bison bodies, she said, "I didn't bring your cane, no. You don't need it, here, and it would just be extra time and effort to put back, tomorrow."

"Thank you." Anik said, as Timea gave her the bag and showed her the right carcass. She sat down next to the belly of the caribou, took out her knife and started to feel inside the body again, to pick the right organs to prepare.
"Fair enough." she answered as Timea explained her reasoning. "I could have used it to judge better where the cliff is, but only bringing it for this one use only is not really worth your efforts."
As she was feeling inside the caribou, she turned her head towards Timea, then said, with a shy smile: "What would you recommend I prepare this time? I don't really now what does decompose the fastest, after the stomach ... and the head stuff, obviously."

"Well, there are still some entrails left, yes? You should continue to eat those. But other than that, it doesn't really matter, most other organs will spoil at roughly the same rate", Timea answered. "Just tell me if you need a second opinion on anything else."

"Alright." Anik said with a slight grudge, not liking the bowels very much. Still, she cut out most of them, then started to wash them very profoundly.
"I asked if there was a way to contact Avinah as well, but Faotar did not know how this would be arranged." she said, while being busy with the preparation of her meal.

Seeing Anik grimace, Timea felt a little sorry for her. She still felt that every part that could be eaten, but thought there wasn't much point in making Anik eat something she really didn't want to, while the size of the caribou would inevitably mean Timea would start eating parts of it anyway, before it decomposed. "You really don't like it, do you?" she asked. "Well, this time, I'll take the bowels, then. It you'd just take them out, entirely, I'll take it off your hands."
After Anik's answer to her offer, Timea replied to Anik's second statement. "I see. I had thought to ask this, too. Before we would leave. Good on you for thinking about this. But a shame we won't be able to talk to her."

Quan Chi, having made some plans and done some scouting, created a portal to the outskirts of Femesh Daer. Stepping through, he looked over the city's edged, looking for individual guards or small groups of them.

With Anik handing the bowels over, Timea stopped what she was doing, and picked them up. She brought one end of the bowels to her nose, and sniffed if any contents lingered inside. Finding this wasn't the case, she continued slicing them open from where Anik had started, to clean out the insides.
"In southern Calibeth, yes. But you are correct, this is far off course, for now. We'll add this on our list of things to do, if speaking with Et won't amount to anything." Timea was quiet for a moment, then asked, "I wonder how he'll react to our suspicions. With cryptic deflections, I imagine."

"Probably. Although he can't really put the blame on someone else now. So ... either he tries to let us rot here, or he says what he wants, or he helps us. Nothing else he really could do.

Quan Chi would see guards standing on the walls around the city. Though the guards were alone, they were near enough to the workers and citizens that anything happening to them would be immediately spotted.

"Trying to knock him out?" Anik said, slightly joking. "I mean, he basically kidnapped us. ... But, I really doubt we can knock him out if he just appears like the moon goddess did. So, scrap that thought."
Having washed the liver, Anik cut it into two pieces, then realized she had only rock below her feet, and could not draw a rune for fire.
"..." she made. "Well, I guess I found out why I should not rely on these runes too much. I can't draw one here.
I could try to roast this with my dagger, but ... I think this would take far too long. Uhm ... could you help me roast this?" She held out the chunks of liver to Timea.

"Hmm. Aside from the fact that we may not be able to overpower him, we shouldn't resort to violence. And certainly not start with it. Keep in mind; while the situation is suspicious, we don't know with any degree of certainty that Et is responsible for us coming here. So if we would do this, we may be attacking a person for nothing."
When asked to help with the roasting, Timea stood up, saying, "well, there would be nothing to start a fire with, normally, either. But, of course. I'll help."
Moving over to Anik, Timea laid down the bowels, then took the blanket, and laid it out over the ground. She than sat down again, and continued roasting.
