After a few more minutes of practice, Robin yanked off the ring, letting out a frustrated groan.

East Northern Road Inn - Day 11 - 13:05

Upon entering, Quan Chi would find only a single person, sitting behind the bar. She seemed quite stunned at someone entering, and quickly sat upright. "H-how can I help, sir?" she asked.

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 22:15

"Well, that still something positive", Timea said. She was quiet for a moment, taking another large bite from the bowels, and chewing this. After swallowing, she stood up, announcing, "I'm going to get more meat, from the head of your meal."

Walking around Anik, Timea crouched down besides the caribou carcass, and began removing the hide, starting by making an incision around the base of the skull, then around the ears. "The liver should still be edible, by the way. Although you may wish to scrape off the blackened bits."

After another pause, Timea asked, "What kind of games did you all play?

"Yes, that's why I told it." Anik said.

As she took the liver and felt it, hearing Timea tell her about it, Anik sighed. "Good. I ... well, I wanted to try eating it, anyways. So, well enough." Feeling the blackened bits, which had quite a different texture, Anik scraped them off, then started to eat the liver, actually liking the taste.

In between bites, she answered: "Different ones. Hide and seek - well, I was really good in that, obviously. I kind of had to play along a bit, making myself worse than I was. Then - Tag. Running after people, catching them. I was good at running away, but if I had to catch someone, I certainly hit my fair share of things I should not hit.

We played some games with balls as well - I was not too good in them, but it actually wasn't impossible, either. And there were some games others helped me, with calling out where I had to go. Also, we did some acrobatics. Not nearly as good as I do them now, but this was where I started."

With Anik continuing to tell about her youth, Timea half wondered what purpose removing her eyes had, if she was blind to begin with. But not wanting to bring up this memory at all, didn't ask about this.

"Holding back, hmm? I imagine that must have been awkward for you. How ever did you decide when to ignore a person, when you could detect them, and when to catch them?" Timea questioned. "Based on hiding spot, maybe?"

"Based on hiding spot was not really something I could do ..." Anik responded. "I mean, I could not see how well they were hidden.

What I did instead, mostly, was listening to the sounds they made, and if it was something above a certain volume, I found them. Unless I could not figure out how to get behind something, but this would have been a problem even if I would search for them with my sense. If someone was smelling really bad, I did find them based on that - for laughs.
These people did not know of my ability, so it was all fine."

"How did you do that?" Robin asked Cybil, frustrated.

Quan Chi raised an eyebrow at being the only one here, looking to the bartender as she spoke. "Yes. How much for a drink? I've been walking for quite some time."

"Thank you. I figured I should try and learn everything I can. It may be useful." Robin told her.

"I'll think about it." Quan sat down, looking around the inn and plotting, his evil almost comically out of place in the quaint inn.

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 22:18

"I can see how such a thing would be good for a laugh", Timea said with a small chuckle.

With the incisions made, Timea pulled the skin back, exposing the brainpan. She then went about firmly separating the skull's plates, but being careful to do so, to not damage the brain underneath. While doing this, she asked, "well, I have other questions. But I feel those are for another time. So, what would you like to know about me?"

Anik smiled, but still she was relieved when Timea decided to change the topic in the other direction, as most everything else Anik could tell would be either quite negative, or would be things she had had when doing the assassinations. "Alright." she said. "Well, let us stay with the good times. You have a long life, but was there some time you particularly enjoyed?"

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 22:18

"There were two times, both in roughly the same time period. The first was in my early to mid adulthood. I was still exploring the world, everything was still new, and full of wonder. So many places to go, and sights to see.

I was also still brazen. The boldness of youth, I suppose you can call it. I moved around, thinking I was invincible. Some times, I even picked fights, if something didn't let me go my way."
Timea momentarily closed her eyes, and shook her head while letting out a single, small chuckle. "I enjoy being wiser now, and as I am now, I would disapprove of a lot of things my past self did. But, I was careless. And I look back to that fondly."

Inn, day 11, 13:05
Quan looked around the inn, examining the structure and wondering why he was the only one in here, wondering if he could turn it into an evil base. The cold mountain camp was getting old, and the inn could benefit from a few skulls on the wall.

East Northern Road Inn - Day 11 - 13:06

Quan Chi would see that the inn was a relatively small building, with a front room containing a couple of tables and some chairs, as well as the bar. In the back was obviously an area for cooking and food preparation, and upstairs were a pair of small bedrooms. On the upstairs wall was a stone carving in the shape of an eye, with a stick of incense inserted into a hole on the top of the carving. The hall would have a faint flowery scent, though it would be undetectable downstairs.

"Ah yes, the innocence of inexperience, I think I know what you mean." Anik said. "And just carelessly wandering around ... I wish I could experience that, some time.

But you thought you were invincible? Did you, at this time, walk around in your true form? And ... was there maybe a particular event? A sight you found more beautiful than anything you had ever seen before?"

Shortly after Anik mentioned her true form, Timea let out a "shh!" to remind her they were not alone. After the continued what she was doing, and spoke again. "But to answer your question; Yes, I did."

Momentarily pausing, Timea removed the skull plate, frowning a little to see the sate of the brain within. While the cold had preserved it somewhat, it was still beyond its expiration date. Seeing this, Timea poked it, to feel the texture. While doing so, she answered Anik's second question. "As for a sight... that has to be when I travelled southwards. I was moving by a valley, when I saw it, nestled on the cliffs. A large bird, with the most beautiful plumage I had ever seen. Primarily, it was gold, but had many more colours that danced around over its feathers; reds, purples, colours that don't have names, and everything in-between! No still patterns, either, but moving. And it gave of a brilliant, warm light.

... I think that was the first time I ever stopped, and actually appreciated other life."

She trailed off for a moment, a nostalgic smile on her face, barely realising her description would be lost on Anik.
