"Yes, forget I said anything about it." Anik answered.

"Hmm ... yes, you're right, I probably would not carry any firewood with me. And these bodies would not be this high up, either." she said, and laughed, as Timea walked over to her. "Now that I think of it, this is kind of absurd. Sitting at the edge of a cliff, just roasting meat."

Cheerful, as she felt the heat of the blanket near her, she was about to try to roast them herself, as she realized that this, as well, was not as easy as it looked. "I don't have anything to hold the meat with. And your blanket is very hot. Umm ... can either you take it, or just put out the blanket, and I put it on again?"

Quan Chi wouldn't find anything behind which he could hide, due to the guards being higher than the ground and thus able to see over any cover.

Quan frowned, portaling out of there. Perhaps somewhere less... Guarded. He arrived outside Caliberth, hoping the reconstruction there would provide him with an easy target.

Largely finished with roasting, Timea switched which end of the bowels was exposed to the fire the most, and hungrily bit in to the end that was ready. After swallowing a bite, Timea snickered. "Call it... ", she began to say, pausing dramatically. "... Adventure~!" After letting out a small laugh, she continued eating.

After Anik spoke on the arrangement of the blanket, Timea let out a muffled "hmmph!" to make it known her mouth was full. After swallowing a bite a few seconds later, she answered. "I had my mouth full. But to answer your question, couldn't you just stick the meat on one of your swords, and roast in that way?"

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 22:10

Anik laughed with Timea about the adventure. She waited patiently for Timea to answer, hearing quite clearly that her mouth was full.
"Hmm ... you are right." she said, as Timea spoke. Anik took out the longer one of her sword, then pierced both of the liver pieces with it. Then she held it over the fire, kind of hoping she was in the right place, but, as the blanket was quite large, not really in the danger of not roasting it at all.

"Hungry." she stated shortly, while Timea was chewing.

"If you want something to eat while you eat, you could still have some of the bowels", Timea stated, taking another bite. After a pause, during which she chewed and swallowed, she then asked, "And on an unrelated note; How much money do you have left, actually?"

"I'll think I rather start with this." Anik said, and took out a pear, biting into it. As Timea asked, Anik felt inside her pocket, after placing the pear on the ground. After a short time, she answered: "I only have one gold and a few silver pieces left. So this is for emergencies, I would think. Hmm ... I might have to cut buying drinks, too."

Robin sighed, deciding to resume his sky metal practice as well. He took the sky-metal ring he had been using, slipped in on, focused... and created a small easily snuffed spark that gave off a sound similar to a fart.

Quan Chi groaned again, deciding to stop warping around the cities. Instead he began heading east of what was left of Calibeth, or as east as the roads would allow at least.

"Probably, yes", Timea responded, in a way, glad to hear there was still enough money to pay for a boat ride for Hillary, should that prove necessary again, in the future.

She took another large bite, and spend some time chewing. After she swallowed, she spoke again. "Hmm. Can you tell me more about how you grew up? Some of the good times?" she asked, curiously.

Southern Road - Day 11 - 10:03

Walking east from the ruins, Quan Chi would find the road slowly vanished under the sand, with no settlements in sight.

Quan Chi, realising he really needed a map, headed back the other way, going past the ruins of Calibeth and up the northern road.

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 11 - 22:11

Anik frowned when Timea asked her, then thought for a whole minute.

"I ... guess. I tell you, when you tell me about your life. Fair?

Anyways, I think the best time in my life ... before some things that happened here ... was after ... doesn't matter.
I was maybe 10 years old then, basically homeless. I had a sleeping place at an orphanage, but ... it was not much more than that. I was basically alone in a big city, and I was mostly figuring out how to do the things others could do. I already could do this clicking, but I could not do it all the time ... anyways, it was about that time, when I ran through the city, knowing all the elevations, where I was, and ... also stealing some things, I found out how to best get away.
And it was with climbing - that's why I remember right now. I found houses I could climb quite easily, and with some practice, I managed to climb most houses, and take paths above everyone else.

Finally, I even could run there, knowing the area this good. And ... this was the first time people looked up to me, and were impressed by what I could do. The other children in the orphanage never paid much attention to me, I ... was basically left out of school, because I could not write, but the others, who did not want to go to school either, had fun playing ball - where they left me out, too. Anyways, as I was climbing, and running across roofs, they suddenly paid attention to me. And wanted to do the same - but I was better than them. I had never felt this valued before. They even asked me to teach them, and I managed to help a few - even though this was some trouble as well."

After she had told this, Anik was quiet.

As he walked north, Quan Chi would find a small area with broken sandstone littered about, with no logical source of reason for existing. Further north, the road would split, with the path heading north-west leading to Vala.

Quan looked over the sandstone, checking to see if there was anything magical or of notr about them. If not, he would take the path north east, knowing that if nothing else he could double back and go to Vala.

As he moved further north, past the edge of the desert, he would find a small inn and stables.

"Of course, that's fair. But depending on the question, I may hold off on answering, until a later time", Timea answered, then stayed quiet, and listened to Anik's story.

While Anik told her story, Timea ate more slowly, to produce less noice, and hoped this made it known she was paying attention.

"I see. So you became something of an idol in the orphanage, did you? Did this lead to you making some friends, too, or was it only that the others admired your talents?"

Anik took the liver of the fire, smelled it and said: "Oh crap..." Nevertheless, she did let it cool down, and answered Timea:

"I would not say idol. I mean, most people, the ones who went to school, still thought me an idiot.

For the others ... I could play with them at least. Well, the things I could play with them. But I wasn't just a complete outsider anymore. Friends? I don't know you could call it that. But more admiration, yes."
