Once again, the sorcerer sent sparks of electricity into Speedy, containing slightly more energy than before. He watched, curiously, hoping nothing would bad happen to the rat-like creature.

"You are welcome. Having visitors is always interesting." the deity responded. "If you have any more questions before you leave, feel free to ask them."

Mt. Faotar - Day 12
After their talk with Faotar, Timea walked back to the entrance. There, she flew down the caribou carcass and Anik's bag. On the way down, she flew by the spot where she had left the cane. Unable to pick it up due to its small size, Timea instead blew a wind stream to blow it off the ridge. She dropped the rest of Anil's belongings where it landed, then flew up again.
Back in the caverns, she called out she was ready to guide Anik down, and flew her down once Anik came, setting her down near her belongings. After this, she made one last trip to get Hillary down.
With all this down, Timea reverted back to her default form, in the dress, and let out a "phooh", stretching her back. "That was a good bit of work."

"That's still not enough!" Speedy said. "Look, I have built myself so that I have a Farady cage, so I can't be hurt by that. I need the shock to do this for more than a few seconds!"
With that, he shortly ran off the desk, very fast, up the wall, on the ceiling, but as he was on the wall on the other side, he slowed down, and jumped next to the sorcerer again. "If you give me a good shock, I can save the energy and keep this up for days!"

Mt. Faotar, Caverns - Day 12 - 13:44
Anik stayed silent and listened to what Timea asked.

While waiting for Timea and Hillary down, Anik felt for her belongings, and prepared them to start walking.
As Timea came back, Anik smiled, then clicked and tried to find Timeas neck, to nuzzle it like Timea had done before.
"You did very good." she said, and laughed. "Need a bit of rest?"
"That's still not enough!" Speedy said. "Look, I have built myself so that I have a Farady cage, so I can't be hurt by that. I need the shock to do this for more than a few seconds!"

Being a fair bit taller then Anik, the closest Anik initially got was Timea's upper sternum, or the collar bone, if she tip-toed. Noticing what Anik was trying to do, however, Timea smiled, and bended through her knees so that Anik could reach the neck. While being nuzzled, Timea lightly rubbed the side of her head against the top of Anik's.
"No, that's all right. Let's get going." With this said, and once Anik finished, Timea began moving southwards.

As she noticed she could not reach the neck, even with tip-toeing, Anik blushed a little bit, but, as Timea bended her knees, smiled and enjoyed the nuzzling, even though it was quite different to the things she normally did to show affection. Having the urge to hug as well, she instead kept herself from doing it, only gripping Timeas arm softly.
She did the nuzzling about as long as Timea did do it, her toes tiring from tip-toeing soon enough, anyways.
"Good to hear." Anik said as she let go of Timea. She followed her, using mostly the cane to orientate herself with.

"I see. But, before we were on good terms, being around people didn't seem to bother you as much as it does now, some times. Even if you did have problems sleeping", Timea stated. "Do you know why that might have been?"

The sorcerer was a little startled by what Speedy was able to do but recovered quickly. He began sending a steady flow of electricity into Speedy's body, waiting for a cue to suggest Speedy was charged.

"... No." Anik answered. "It was never this strong before. I mean ... it got stronger with time. I was not able to sleep without ... help, the last few years. But I still could stay in the ... a city, without any problems.
I have no idea what changed. And what did make it weaker, for some time, before it came back. It's really weird. And annoying."

"We'll try and do this, then", Timea said, giving a small nod. "If we learn anything, is there some way we could relay this to do, from a distance, prefferably where we would stand? Or would we need to come back, here?"

"Hmm. It is strange. I still am not quite sure what causes these changes", Timea stated, after a little thought. "I suppose we'll need more time to look in to this all."
She snapped her fingers, then gave Anik a light poke against the side of her head. "We'll figure it out, eventually~"

"Understood", Timea said, then briefly paused, to indicate a change in subject. "Another thing, one I have been wondering for a while - have we unknowingly been blessed by you? Or has the good hunts we've been having simply a case of luck?"

"Only time will tell", Timea said. She was quiet for a moment, then clapped her hands together. "Now! Some survival advice. Suppose you're facing down an aggressive bear. What do you do?"

With the increased energy, something on Speedy beeped after 5 more minutes. He looked at the sorcerer, said: "Thank you. That's it." and squeaked in excitement.

"Huh." Anik made, surprised by the sudden change of topic, but liking the new topic. "Hmm ..." she said, after thinking for a bit. "I would try to dodge. Avoid coming too close, and standing before him. If I would need to kill him, I would try to get behind him, and hit him with my swords from there. If I would just want him to go away ... I would try to run away, and if this would not work, I would try to get to a spot which he could not reach. Like climbing a tree."

"My. That's some luck~", Timea said, a little surprised, but happy. She much preferred luck over having been given a helping hand every time. "On the subject of hunting; As it's your domain, I assume you've noticed how we deal with it. So, out of curiousity, what do you think of that?"

"With those choices... ", Timea began, pausing for dramatic purposes. "You're probably now being mauled to death. What a shame." She let out a chuckle, then continued. "A few exceptions aside, you should never run from an animal, because most of them can run faster than you. And some types of bear are actually good climbers, so climbing a tree would just be putting yourself in a corner. You may also have heard people say you should play dead: Don't do that. That only works with the smaller types, and even then, not necessarily."
"So, what should you do, then? Well, avoiding coming too close is a good choice. You should always start with that. If you don't specifically need to be somewhere, stop approaching, and start backing away, especially when they have children. If they chase after you, make yourself big, and scream at them. Growl, once they stop approaching. This should drive the message home that you're neither weak, nor scared. This should be enough to make them stop bothering you while you get away."

Speedy had very spikey hair, but aside from that, was very fine. He sat himself on his hindlegs shortly, said: "No, that is all. See you!"
With that, he ran out of the room, leaving a smoking trail on the wall and on the ceiling. And on the ground, of course.
He arrived near Robin.

But this with the trees, I did not know. Thank you for telling me. Other humans ... they would tell stories of getting away from bears like this. Seems like they made it all up. Playing dead I have not heard for bears. I also would not really think of it ... playing dead does ... would not work for someone else, if they would meet me, so I would not think of trying this with a bear, anyways.

Well, I hope the bears would not see me as weak, me being this small ... still, I guess this can work. I'll try it if I ever come into the situation."
