Village Outskirts - Day 13 - 22:35

"Alright." Anik said. She got a little bit closer to Timea, and felt for her neck, then tried to nuzzle it. Smiling, she added: "I did eat quite nicely, yes. And a lot, for me. ... I don't have any bought supplies anymore, but we can pick fruits here, so this should not be a problem.
... Should I keep this up? Eating until I am completely stuffed full?"

Village Outskirts - Day 13 - 22:36​

As Anik got closer, Timea let out a soft, questioning "hmm?" Catching on to what Anik was trying, soon after, she turned off the fire, allowing Anik to nuzzle her neck. Faint magenta outlining appearing under her eyes, Timea lightly rubbed the side of her head against Anik. If Anik kept up the nuzzling for as long as Timea would allow again, it would last 30 seconds, before Timea pulled away.

"Well, as I said, you might not wish to eat until you're absolutely stuffed, or you'll get slowed down, which will be a bad thing, if you suddenly find yourself in a situation where you need to be quick. Likewise, you shouldn't go out of your way to hunt and gather large amounts of food, since that will quickly lead to shortages. But, if you happen to have caught something large, like the last prey of yours, you can give yourself a bit of a treat."

After saying this, Timea snapped her fingers, and gave Anik another poke on the stomach. "So, what you've been doing is just fine~"

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 13 - 22:36

Anik kept up the nuzzling about as long as Timea allowed it, so she smiled when Timea pulled away, and complimented her eating habits.

Moving a little bit, so Timea could turn on her blanket again, Anik said: "That's nice. Yes, I did not eat so much that I could not move, but close to it." she laughed. "So ... mostly just taking what I need for a day, is what I should do?" she asked in relation to not going out of her way.

Village Outskirts - Day 13 - 22:37​

"That's exactly right", Timea happily confirmed, igniting the fire again. "Either way, let's rest for the night, so we can get things started early, tomorrow. I shall take the first watch, again."

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 13 - 22:37

"Alright." Anik said and started to prepare her sleeping place. As she was finished, she said: "Good night." and fell asleep soon after.

Her sleep was very similar to last night. She had quiet phases, but was plagued by nightmares in others. After about 6 hours, she woke up, startled again, but calmed herself down, and switched watch with Timea, being very groggy at this point in time.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 01:37​

After wishing Anik goodnight, Timea sat by, and observed the goings on in the village for as much as this was possible from where the party camped. After about an hour and a half of this, she began feeling peckish again, and with a quick walked, moved over to where she had buried the horse. She filled the hole again, then lifted the carcass over her shoulder.

Timea carried it closer to the camp, stopping where she could watch over her companions from a distance. There, she ate the rest of the horse, taking close to three hours. After burying the broken and marrowless bones, Anik woke up.

Timea then walked back to the campsite, and switched watch.

With her stomach full, it took a while for Timea to fall asleep, but slept soundly when she did.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:00​

Waking up after seven and a half hours, Timea yawned. Not feeling like standing up, she instead rolled herself onto her back, and lifted her head, glancing around.

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:00

The morning went without much incident for Anik, who relaxed, then did some exercise, then walked in circles, then warmed herself near Timeas blanket, then walked in circles again, then explored her close surroundings well enough that she was able to run a few paces a few times, then listened to what was going on around her, then relaxed again.

Hearing Timea yawn, Anik, who had tried to find some more berries in close range, not really finding much, walked back to her. She said: "Good morning, Timea. Did you sleep well?"

 

[Chungus]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:00​

At first, Timea only responded with an affirmative "hmmm." She then was quiet for some thirty seconds, then spoke. "Hm. Yes, I slept well. But I feel really slow right now."

 

[Silence]

In response to the hmmm, Anik just made a short Hmm as well.

When Timea explained more, Anik said, worried, and stepping closer: "Slow? How? Are you alright?"

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:01​

"Oh, yes. There is nothing really wrong with me", Timea answered, appreciating the concern. Slowly, she got up into a sitting position, and stretched her arms. "It's just that I ate the rest of my meat, right before heading to sleep. That wasn't really ideal", she explained, letting out a small chuckle.

Lowering her arms, Timea closed her eyes, and lightly rubbed over the eyelids. "But, this will pass soon enough. It's not a big deal."

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:01

Anik sighed, then smiled and said: "Oh, that. I know this as well." She chuckled. "Yes, not ideal ... I shouldn't worry so much, though. I don't know why I immediately had to think of the worst ...

never mind that. Do you want to hunt ... catch a breakfast, and then we head to the church?"

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:01​

Timea thought to say something about Anik's first comment, but with Anik moving on, decided to let the subject rest.

"Hmm, no. I don't have a very strong appetite right now. I say we should eat the last bits of your meat for now, and go hunt when we've been to the church", Timea answered, laying back down, and stretching her legs. "Oh. How sore are you feeling, by the way?"

 

[Silence]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:01

"Alright, that's fine." Anik said, happy that she did not have to wait. She clicked and walked to the caribou-place. "I feel alright. A little bit sore, but I enjoy the feeling. Nothing that makes my movement hurt." she answered.

 

[Chungus]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:02​

"Well, that's good. You're recovering well, then. But, I think it'll be best to hold off on your exercise routine, until you've recovered, completely", Timea stated. She continued stretching her legs twenty seconds after she spoke, then began stretching her sides. "Although I did come up with another exercise. We could try this one, today."

 

[Silence]

"Hmm ... fine." Anik said, thoughtful. Starting to dig up the caribou, she asked, happily: "Huh? What do you have in mind?"

"It's one that simulates climbing, in a way. The idea is that you hang from something, and pull yourself up. I'm not sure what would be the most effective way to do this, however. Or even if this mock-climb will do as much as the real thing, at all. We'll have to experiment a bit~"

 

[Silence]

"Hmm ... there is something like this, pull-ups. It sounds like you have described it.

I did not say it because I did not know if we could make that work. But ... wouldn't you be strong enough, so that I could try to hang from your arm, if you stabilise it a bit?" Anik said.

 

[Chungus]

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:03​

"It's something that already exists? Ohhhh! And here I thought I was being original!" Timea said with mock disappointment. Stopping the stretches, she let out a snicker. "But, yes. We could certainly do it like this.

Would you prefer to eat first, and try this later, or the other way around?"

 

[Silence]

"Hmm ... better try it now, so that I'm not stuffed full, while trying it." Anik said, and stopped digging. She got up, and turned to Timea.

"I'll probably need your blanket again."

Village Outskirts - Day 14 - 09:03​

"Probably so, yes. It's still very cold", Timea agreed. "But, before we begin, let's move a bit further away from the village, so no one can see us."

With this said, Timea turned around, and walked further away from the village, stopping after she walked for some five minutes. "This should do", she announced, turning off the fire, and extinguishing the flames. As she began untying the blanket, Timea asked, "hmm. You've learned how to make objects emit fire like this, haven't you? Do you think you could make it work in a piece of hide?"
