Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:25​

"Almost!" Timea said happily. "I can't see Hillary yet, but I can just about make out Vala, in the distance."

After relaying this, Timea was quiet for a short time, then had a thought. "Hmm. If it has been a week since we were last attacked, I'd say it's safe enough to stop taking turns in sleeping. What do you think?"

Vala, Day 11, 25:25

I have no idea what he meant by a 'tank'.Jantra ran to the main gate or wherever the fighting was going on. "I'm- I'm here to help! Make sure your men don't fire at me!" Jantra told one of the soldiers. Since he was fully armored and wearing a helmet, the soldier probably wouldn't notice that he was a lion.

With that taken care of, Jantra ran into the fray, surprisingly fast for being so heavily armored. He ran to the side of the mercenaries, shield raised, trying to draw thier fire from the soldiers in Vala without getting in the way.

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:25

"Alright."

At Timeas question, Anik thought for a bit, considering the possibility of them getting attacked again, then said: "Hmm ... I'm not completely sure, but I think it would be safe enough if our sleep is light enough - and I know mine is. So I guess we can save some time this way.

I hope I feel safe enough to sleep while you are sleeping, though ... I don't know where my mind will wander."

"After this morning, your sleep would be troubled, hmm?" Timea mused, sympathetically. "Hmm. Well, we can still take turns in keeping watch, this night, if only to just to take certainty over uncertainty."

"Probably. Hmm ... we could try sleeping at the same time, just to see. I don't know if that would work ... maybe it's best if I stay awake first? And we switch watch when you wake ... or maybe I would fall asleep while keeping watch. You wouldn't be bothered by that, right?"

You shrug and walk over to Quan Chi, commenting that while you have to do as he says, he can't expect anyone else to do the same.

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:26​

"Hmm. No, I would prefer to take the first watch, if this is what we'll be doing. If I go to sleep soon after having a meal, I'll wake up being slow and unresponsive again. And that's no good, is it? Plus, if you would have bad dreams, you can process these while you're on your watch, instead of carrying the thoughts with you into the afternoon."

Quan gave a self satisfied smile, then looked to those disturbing him. "Why do you oppose me?"

Anik frowned, then said: "Alright, we can try. I just hope I will be able to sleep without being very tired. ...

maybe I need to use alcohol again." she added, unhappily.

"Hmm. Maybe, once you've had your meal, and while waiting for me to come back, you can try doing some light exercises, but in large sets. This might burn off some of your energy", Timea suggested. "Failing that, I could remove some of it. I don't think this is ideal, but I feel it would be better than messing with your body with alcohol like that."

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:26

Anik furrowed her brow. "I will try some exercise - although I think my leg will interfere with most of the thing I can do quite heavily. I don't know ... if I can exhaust me enough with that.

But what do you mean with "remove some of it"? Remove some of my energy? ... This ... no, I don't want this. This is weird. I'm far more used to alcohol than to whatever you want to do with me."

"If you're sure, fair enough. It would be on the strange side to manipulate your internal processes like that", Timea replied. She didn't explain what her suggestion meant, in favour of staying on-topic. "But still, I do really think you shouldn't drink yourself asleep. Yet, I can't think of any other alternatives. Frustrating."

"Yes it would. I will definitely try to sleep without using the vodka, at first. We'll see how it goes.
If I knew any other methods, I would have used them by now." Anik said, kind of tired of the topic.

"Are we there yet?" she asked again.

The two sorcerers began pelting the mercenaries with fireballs and heavy lumps of rock, the rocks mainly aimed at the shields in order to break them, or the arms holding them up.

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:28​

At Anik's question, Timea frowned slightly, getting mildly annoyed by having the questioned asked several times, over a relatively short time. "Not yet. I'll say it when we arrive. You don't have to keep asking, you know?" she commented.

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:32​

After another four minutes, Timea drew closer to where Anik's bag was left. She stopped beating her wings, and left momentum carry her the rest of the way. "All right. We are here. I'm going to land, now. So pull up your legs, and prepare for a bump or two."

Descending, Timea began lightly beating her wings again when nearing the ground, slowing down more. When above the ground, she beat her wings more strongly, letting her touch down fairly smoothly. "And, we've landed."

Bending through her knees, she set Anik down, having the safety belt retract into her body, then letting go of her shoulders, and rising back to her full height. "The spot where you've left your bag is over here", she commented, stepping over to the stone pile, and lightly tapping a foot on it. "Will you wait around here?"

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:28

"Umm ... alright, I'll just wait." Anik answered meekly.

Vala Area - Day 14 - 9:32

As she was told, Anik pulled her legs up, and prepared for the landing quietly. She guessed that they had landed, but did not know for sure, so she was glad that Timea gave her the information.

When she was sat down, Anik first tried to land on both her feet, but a bolt of pain shot through her bad leg caused her to lose some stability before she managed to get most of her weight on the other leg. "Oww." she made, but not particularily loud.

Trying to orientate herself, she clicked, then turned towards Timea when she announced where her bag was, slightly hopping. "Yes, I will. I'll start preparing the hare for me." she answered, then limped over to the stone pile, and sat herself down in a relieving posture before beginning to dig up her bag.

Cybil didn't answer Quan Chi, instead summoning her stun gun and firing a paralyzing ray at him through the bars.

The guards complied with Cybil's order, opening the door as they prepared to attack Quan Chi and Shara if necessary.

Quan dodged the paralysing shots of Cybil, opening a portal and ordering Shara through, back to his camp. He then tried to follow through himself.

Some of the mercenaries broke, but those that did retreated behind their cohorts, and the ranged attacks focused on the earth mage, pelting him with magic and arrows.
Jantra found himself ignored, as he wasn't an active threat.
