I am really surprised no one said GTA 4 yet. Here's what I thought was wrong with it:

1. Controls - Yes, I am talking about the cars specifically. There are so many retards who are like, "It was realistic. Let's see you trying to turn your car at top speed." First of all, it wasn't realistic - the suspension on those cars were way too loose. Forza/GT is realistic. Secondly, if you are defending the game for its realism, remember that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get away from the cops in real life ,especially if they have a chopper chasing you. Lastly, people would never use the realism argument if it was a game made by EA.

2. Mission Variety - Lack of mission variety, that is. It was always - get some ammo/armor, go to X place, and kill some dude. You'd think they would have more than one type of mission in an open world game.

3. "Social" System - "Heeey caazin, let's go see some teetees!!"

4. My biggest complaint - it is a "jack of all trades" type of game; it provides you every gameplay genre you can think of, but none of them are executed well enough.

Before anyone suggests otherwise, I actually finished the game (story missions, at least). I don't think it is bad, but it definitely isn't perfect (10/10 from most reviews).
Totally agree, but I didn't even finish the game. It felt broken every time I played it, especially the cars. For a game I truly hate, I'll say Motorstorm.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but I really hated Borderlands. Soooo boring.
I hated it, too. The scenery was boring, the characterisation was flatter than a sheet of A4 and the gameplay was just repetitive. I didn't even wait for the DLC to get rid of it. I thought it was a complete turkey of a game, I expected more seeing how I paid full price for it.

star wars battlefront 2;

no matter how good i am with a praticular unit; and ill be going around raping every single thing with said unit; my team always loses in some annoying thing... and whenever i play multiplayer with my friends:

against eachother: i begin to hate them and not talk to them anymore (probably just a personal problem)

team: theres no feesible challange... 2 PC= game breaking
I can't speak for the multiplayer but I do agree with your point that you can massacre enough enemies to make Rambo blush and somehow still lose because the enemy seems to teleport from command post to command post (on the hardest difficulty setting anyway). Despite the glaring flaws, I still adore the Battlefront games, however.

Probably Heavy Rain. However that is mainly because it is so fucking overhyped when its really quite meh. I just want people to shut the hell up about that goddamn failure and stop preaching about how its either "The 360 killer" or "the future of gaming" It is neither. It is a failed attempt at trying to fix Fahrenheit.
really? i dont think its meh, i guess im just one of the people thats tired of not having a story in the game, i was on the edge of my seat and like freaking out, they establish everything very well, i love it.

Games I can't stand...

Okay....

The Sims- Yes, the entire franchise. IT's just so boring, and I can't see the appeal at all. "Oh look, he's goin' poo!" Yeah, that's nice, so am I...

Halo-.... Just another boring FPS, let me know when it's something fun, like Army of Two, or Rogue Trooper.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- Take the world of Elder Scrolls, give fun combat, but take out all the roleplaying. GREAT GAME, except y'know, it's not...

Final Fantasy X- I just don't see the appeal. Except for Rikku and Yuna, all the characters's voices just didn't sync with me. the story also didn't draw me in, and Tidus annoyed me. Tried X-2 at a friend's and liked it. But then again, I like anything with the Job system, and it even let ya switch mid-battle!

Kingdom Hearts- The entire franchise. Take annoying Disney characters that I never liked to begin with, give it a really crappy battle system, and milk the crap out of it... Way to let me down Square-Enix....

One more thing, I don't get all the hate for Too Human. I thought it was fun and regret getting rid of it. It had interesting combat, and kept me looking forward to what loot would drop next. Somewhat forgettable story, but it was fun to play. Granted dying sucked, what with the cutscene ya had to watch, but still.

I can't really name a game I hate for sheer bloody awfulnes(I don't play those things), I can say I hate Alone in the dark(2008) for turning one of the best concepts in some of the most unplayable tripe ever. I mean how can you fuck up WALKING in this day and age. Not to mention I was playing it on the PC... WITHOUT A CONTROLLER.
Also I don't do like others and say "Halo is the worst shit ever" because even if we don't admit it, recharging health and limited weapon capacity have improved pace and immersion/belivability respectivly quite a lot. But what I do hate is immitating the same game-design, mechanics and most of all story(there is none) and turning every shooter into that pool of mediocrity's bastard children...whose familly is still growing.

Devil May Cry 4

I hated the characters, I hated the cut-scenes, I hated the dialogue, I hated the combat.

I slogged through for a few hours hoping it would improve...

...and then they made me backtrack through the same fucking levels with the exits randomly mixed up.

Only game I've ever traded in without finishing it.

Fallout 3
Gears of War 1 and 2
ODST

All of those I hate with a passion.

Fallout 3- How about something other then brown, black, gray and grayish blue? I couldn't get past the visuals. Not only that, but I CANNOT BELIEVE that people piss their pants about how games are getting too easy, then love this game to death when it has the easiest combat system in the history of man: VATs. Oh yeah, it's very engaging when all you have to do is press a button and just select which ever place you wanna shoot, forget aiming, and just blast their face off.

GoW 1 and 2- The campaign is alright, but the multiplayer, which is half the game, is ASS. Like, in GoW 2 the first thing anyone does is run to the opposite side of the map to try and get the rocket launcher and stuff. It's retarded. Horde mode is pretty cool though.

ODST- The campaign is the suck. C'mon, not only did I not care who lived or died, the campaign seemed to drag on. Their ripoff of Horde mode wasn't as great as everyone says it is.

Guita Hero is the definition of QTE.
Guitar Hero ALWAYS tells you which button you need to press (they move toward the player which is the equivalent of "press X"). What game are you playing?
Technically then, doesn't DDR win on account of existing first? Granted, Guitar Hero's almost caught up with them on release count already, but still, it has colors to DDR's big glowing arrows.

PRESS LEFT NOT TO DIE!
NOW RIGHT.

NOW BOTH!!!

And then comes Stepmania and "HIT ALL FOUR ARROWS AT ONCE" and your keyboard beeping at you when you try to do it. : D

Maybe the worst game in the world is a poorly constructed beatmap, then. : |

Mass Effect. It was hyped up to near-godlike levels, so i bought it and regretted it. It was a pile of shit as far as I can tell. I even gave it several second chances, despite my reservations. It was a game that never delivered.

I hate World of Warcraft. I hate it because it tries too hard to be funny and the world looks like a friggin' rainbow decorated with Skittles. Shoulderpads come in two sizes: huge and ridicuously huge. And all weapons come in two flavours: annoyingly glowing and annoyingly brightly glowing. And don't even get me started about the player community.

Ocarina of Time. I finally played it for the first time two months ago. What a letdown...It's far from the "BEST GAEM EVAR!" that it's proclaimed to be.

It's a good game, but I hate it because of the undeserved reputation.
