Oh and I haven't tried dating a girl yet but I'd either want a tall, confident blonde with brains (Samus Aran *COUGH*) or a petite, shy, cute girl (Haruhi Fujioka *COUGH*).
You know what I really like? A girl I can argue with. Whether its something little or big if I cant argue with her occasionally than its not that fun
Its not vain, don't worry. Everyone tells you growing up, looks aren't important, and you as well as anyone else should know that its 100% BS. I suppose the natural expansion of that would be someone with a very deep rooted sense of humor about life and themselves. If you can crack jokes, in the middle of intercourse (not Pennsylvania) or at other absurdly badly timed moments, then you win.
Intelligence is something I'm seeing alot of on here, whereas thats all well and good, wisdom is what does it for me. Makes for much better conversation.
Physically, I'm not the type of male who's face will turn red and I'll start frothing at the mouth screaming "Wooooo!!1Thems be som naice tats!1!eleven!" I've always advocated that while breasts don't make the woman, the certainly can be fun. And incedentally they make great pillows when your intoxicated. I love me a nice posterior to grab hold of.
On that note really, a gal that can keep up with me sexually is the biggest plus. I've still yet to meet one. But then again, I'm special.
And as far as the person who brought the red flags ... your answer made me laugh. I think most of us have encountered almost all of those signs at least once.
I personally go for girls that are open, honest, even-tempered, patient (I'm not always an easy person to deal with), and a similar sense of humor. If they can dance its a huge turn-on for me; I cannot personally - unless its something planned out, much to my shame - so its especially mystifying for me. Being able to talk to them about whatever topic that interests me at the time really helps too; whether its something existential, the weather, metaphysical, a video game, politics, or the crazy antics of cats. Attraction is of course important, and personality plays a huge factor into that. Also consistancy is important to me now; the last girl I dated told me at the beginning of the relationship that she was really into rpg games, but later after I had bought all the rpg titles she said she had liked as a suprise for her she claimed that she never actually said that. If any of that makes sense.

Well, i like someone thats good looking and not a dumbass (Yes, an atleast somewhat smart person), a good sense of humor.. a REALLY good sense of humor (I have a bad habit of telling terrible jokes and using horrid puns), and someone whos good to talk to. It would also be a plus if they liked Bruce Springsteen, Cat Stevens, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Journey, but that would be a rare find for sure.
Sense of humour is all I need in a personality. In looks I have to look no farther then my girlfriend.
